my father would always play this song in the car while we were driving. i used to call it “the longest song in the whole world”. i would say that line and he would play it. unfortunately, he died when i was nine years old. when he died my world was quite for a bit. but i’ve always found myself re-finding this song in different parts in my life when i need it most. i’m nineteen now, a whole decade later and i think he’s talking to me when i listen to it now. “someday you will find me, caught beneath the landslide in a champagne supernova in the sky” in some weird way, i think of this as some full circle moment, almost like he was preparing me , knowing i’d always have this song. i love you dad. thank you for always guiding me back to this song.

Uza Raysin MaDique Pedant much? When people get older, they tend to say "It was 20 years ago", even if it was just 18 or 19 years. Pretty much common speak or basic math, because in math, you do round up at certain instances. How about you do something meaningful, than wasting your time with such nonsense? Have a good life. P.S.: i was a pedant like you, been partly cured.

This is not a song. It is art of the highest order. I hate picking favorite songs when it comes to Oasis, because I am crazy about them, but Champagne Supernova would edge out all other songs as my personal favorite #1. It just takes me to a completely different world. As someone rightly said, a perfect song to end a perfect album.

Hey dude. I so much agree. About ten years ago I was having a bad day - family issues, self-analysis and all that crap. I got in my motor and drove 30 miles around the countryside with Oasis blaring on the CD. I pulled in when this song came on, I turned up the sound, sat back with my hands behind my head and just drowned in it. From that day this has been my favourite Oasis song. it is indeed of the highest order, and I hate picking favourites too because all their songs are top drawer. But from that moment, something about Champagne super will resonate with me forever. Different gravy.

How many special people change How many lives are living strange Where were you while we were getting high? Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova in the sky Wake up the dawn and ask her why A dreamer dreams she never dies Wipe that tear away now from your eye Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova 'Cause people believe that they're Gonna get away for the summer But you and I, we live and die The world's still spinning round We don't know why Why, why, why, why How many special people change How many lives are living strange Where were you while we were getting high? Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? 1995, a university dance club in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. We were visiting a buddy going to school there. It was the night I ended up meeting my first wife. What I remember most vividly was the crowd of maybe 150 people standing inside waiting to get into the main area. All of us, every single person, were singing this song. All conversation and rabble stopped. It was amazing. These two brothers were everywhere.

Recently discovered the greatness that is Oasis last month, this song along side the album its from are the only songs I've had on repeat for the last 2 months. This song is an absolute masterpiece and if I ever decide to have kids, Oasis will be something I will be showing them. Really goes to show just how amazing this band is and how much their songs have affected me as a 20 year old guy on a personal level ❤

To be fair, all the good songs had been written by the 3rd or 4th album. Mostly rubbish after that. And noels solo stuff is total pish. Just enjoy what they did. Although I do wish they will do one more tour 🍻🍻

My memory of this song, is with my fishing buddy, in our center console late at night, fishing for Walleye on the edge of the city of Kingston with the lights of the city silhouetted against the calm water. The breeze was non existant and it was early spring. The song takes me back to that point 1996 every time. I see him and me just....."talking". Everything was calm, serene and the beauty of the city at night painted a surreal picture as this song played in the background. I will take that to my grave with me. So beautiful.

Today is 02/21 at 3:45 pm in Brazil and I'm here going back to my adolescence with this beautiful masterpiece that is this Oasis song... The most beautiful clip, everything about it is so peaceful and reminds me There was a time when I was so happy... I had to sit in front of MTV waiting for it to show and I cried every time it ended! Thank you Oasis for everything... It was incredible! 🇧🇷💜😘

Back in highschool I met this really cool girl in gym class. She was listening to music and I asked if I could listen too. She was listening to this song, and right there we hit it off. We went to parties together, and hung out. But after awhile things just died out. 4 years later I have a dream about her. I held her for a good while in my dream thinking it was real. I open my eyes finding out it was just a dream. So I came back here.
