As several people have pointed out, there is a difference between real colloidal oats and ground oatmeal (see some of the comments below that cover it really well and why you might prefer one over the other). I should have stated clearly that by grinding and sifting the rolled oats, I was actually making a substitute for fine colloidal oatmeal to use in the soap. I've used them both in soap, but you may prefer to stick with real colloidal oatmeal instead of oat powder like I used. Sorry for the confusion! 😊

Colloidal oatmeal or ground oat powder:
2 tbsp per 500g oil in recipe
(normally I use 1 tbsp per 500g oil but wanted to use more in this soap since this was a very fine, non-scratchy powder)
