It is a nice escape from Oaxaca's bustling city center and with it's quiet streets, beautiful art, and delicious eateries it is sure to win a place in your travel heart. We like both. We made it to Reforma and the nice Mercado Hidalgo - but did not realize that Xochimilco was almost next door. I guess we better go back asap! Thanks for the inspiration!

Always a lot of colour, as some of the street art is really impressive. What a cool place to eat. Like the idea of getting disinfectant sprayed over you before you enter. Keep safe. 🌈🙏😷😷

Not in Xochimilco, but try Gourmand Deli for breakfast and their sister restaurant El Olivo Gastrobar for dinner. Two excellent options. PS - I just marked AM Siempre and Ancestral on my map app for my next visit. Gracias!

Love it! We used to live 3 blocks down form gourmand. We are there everyday for a month. The grilled cheese, sandwiches, burgers and beers are really delightfully. Bravo for the sights and sounds of Xochimilco! Every one of your videos gives me a mini vacation and this one is no exception. The food looks so tempting. I was fascinated by the explanation of the baker graffiti - had no idea the art told a story. Appreciated seeing the aqueduct because it highlights the technical and engineering abilities of the city founders in addition to the artistic and culinary attractions. It is super relaxing which is such a nice feeling when you have been in a city for awhile. It is a great escape from the busier city center. The graffiti is really cool, we love how they all tell a story!

I have seen food/things from Mexico I haven't seen in the USA. BEET Chips? Delicious!! The way they sanitize you when you go to the restaurant, the bar code on the menu ...I love it. I would've love to be there with no crowd. Niceeee video

I've learned something new about the art and the murals. I will now see them differently.I like the vibrant colors of the houses...I always wonder what' behind the walls look like. Your videos are a bit different ,to me. Each time I get a feeling you're trying to share a story andt it feels like you fit in the story naturally, like the restaurant in the aqueduct. Your channel has become a frequent stop for me. I knew that Mexico is nice but since I did not have a chance to visit yet, I never really explored too much about it. Good morning to you two! Thank you very much for sharing this incredible neighborhood in Oaxaca with us! We are back from exploring Mazatlan. We really really liked it there. But…it was a bit warm ( we knew that; wanted to see it at its worse time of the year). So, we want to check out at least 1 highlands area. I am pretty sure it will be Oaxaca! My wife’s aunt also comes there about 2-3 months per year. So, it would be tremendous if we can time the trip when she is there. She is an incredible person and fun to be with; so that would be a treat (along with the music and art and crafts!). We will go there thinking we are mostly Centro oriented with regards to considering it to live. But, it will be neat to check out a place like here in your video to see how it resonates. We were just there today and now there are signs telling tourists to not take photos of peoples houses and to not bother the locals there. The guide said they are tired of being bothered by invasive tourists. Beautiful barrio !
