Don't know why people do such childish experiments. That unit is only meant to be driven with it's own amplifier. Tuning of the amp also matters for a driver to perform as intended by the company

I buy these in pair. Add a high quality silk dome twitter with the help of a crossover and then connect it to a lm3886 amplifier and a Bluetooth preamp. And seriously I can't explain the quality I am getting. Simply the best decision I made. And my total expense is around 12k including a pair of these subwoofer+twitter+crossover+amplifier+preamp+power supply.
