Oberstdorf ISU adult bronze I 2024… scored terribly with my most disappointing performance yet

As poorly as I skated this time the score actually increased to 11.78 at the awards. Still my worst score, but a bit less crushing. Also, I smiled more. Next time I hope to not have my eye was half closed looking, not bomb the spins and jumps, and not to rush into the start or off the ice.
Overall it was a fantastic trip and experience. There were so many wonderful skaters that I felt like an imposter XD

Hi, please don't be too critical of yourself, it's all nerves... Since your last year performance you have been progressed a lot, now you are skating more gracefully. And you have a beautiful smile 😊

You didn’t do bad! It’s okay to have some messy programs, sometimes it happens and you can only just learn from them. When you become better in the future you’ll look back at this and smile, glad you never gave up.

I think it's easy for those who never really tried skating/learning to skate as adults to be critical but as someone who just started learning few months ago, seeing how you skate (crossovers, backward skating) inspires me. I want to be able to skate confidently like that too one day.

Thanks for the kindness. :) I’m sure that if you keep at it you’ll amaze yourself with what you can learn. The beginner me of 3 years ago would be shocked to see how I skate now.
