@@juliemillington9907 Of course it's canon, they're not going to contradict their own works. They pulled that bald Inquisitor from the very series that created him, this is set before Rebels. You have to remember when Rebels starts it's only about 5 years before the events of A New Hope and in this series Luke Skywalker is clearly still a kid, if you want a rough idea of when this takes place.

What really got me was the sad look on his face when he hears Anakin. The reminder of his failure as a brother and mentor kicked in at that very moment. This might be deemed the most emotional Star Wars, Disney+ show.

Owen was fully within his rights to tell Obi Wan to stay the heck away from his family. He's Luke's gaurdian and this guy wants to train him to do what? Join a banned religious sect? Get him killed? Obi Wan took him into a warzone almost immediately in ANH.

I can't wait to see how Vader is portrayed here. In the movies, he's always the big bad guy in the suit, it's only ever been hinted there's a tortured demented soul under there. The graphic novels really explored Anakin's agony in that way & I'd love to finally see that on screen.

the suit was also designed to cause him physical pain to fuel his anger. Vader lore runs deep. I'm so excited for this. it literally cannot fail imo. impossible to.

At this point he's pretty much consumed by rage, so if anything he should be more vicious here than he was even in the movies, similar to how he acted in Rogue One. Wouldn't be opposed to them giving him some moments where he resents what he's become & how things went down, but at the end of the day, Vader didn't need any scene like that in the OG trilogy & he certainly doesn't need them now

@@chasingclouds3360 I doubt it. Disney don't seem to understand concepts like the tragic hero. I suspect they'll just give Obi Wan a tacked on mental illness to ramp up the emotional tug, and make Vader a cartoonish villain. To be fair though they basically HAVE to include Vader. A series purely about a perfect guy standing in a desert would be utterly boring.

For anyone wondering, here’s what all the Aurebesh (that I could find/was legible) said in this trailer. (In order of appearance) Neon signs at 0:10: most of it was far too blurry to read, but two cut off signs read “nacks”. Likely the whole word was “snacks” or “knickknacks”. One also just says “S” Holomap at 0:37: the map reads “Ozupam” on both the left and right side. (Note: the letters are inverted) Neon Sign at 0:47: “Milk” Obi-Wan info at 0:50 “Transmitting WANTED Obi-Wan Kenobi Offenses Bounty High Treason Upon Capture Back of Soldier at 1:03: “Ned”

Disney has dropped billions of dollars into the franchise. Disney SW movies have grossed almost $6 billion dollars at the box office and they're making millions of dollars from Galaxy's Edge, I doubt that their support of the franchise hinges solely on this show. It hinges on the return of their investment. Which has paid off in spades for them thus far.

This makes us understand in part why Owen wanted Luke to stay away from Obi-Wan. It also gives chills to the exchange between Owen and Beru: "Luke's just not a farmer, Owen. He has too much of his father in him." "That's what I'm afraid of." Damn.

I wish I could have the same level of excitement as everyone else here but I feel the more they make those series and movies, the more it strips me of what happen in my imagine. It wasn't as bad reading the spinoff book & comic series. At least with the books you know the story isn't set in stone. Also it made me hopeful that Luke, Leia and Han continue having non stop adventures in between.

This version of Darth Vader is probably going to be far more dark and murderous than we are used to in the Original Trilogy. It has not been that long since Vader’s defeat on Mustafar. I don't want to see anything to do with the original three films "remade", that's a terrible idea. Would love to see 7 through 9 remade though, or just simply forgotten about.

No! No no no no! You can't have Obi-Wan meet Darth Vader! That doesn't make any sense! It literally directly contradicts Darth Vader's line in A New Hope: "I've been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now, *I* am the master." How do you even screw this one up?? And why does NO ONE seem to be bothered with this?!

That’s what I was think too. Other questions I have does obi use his lightsaber in the series. Or do we finally see what kind of fighting style the Jedi use. I don’t know I hope the series answers these questions and more either way I’m pumped

I dont dissagree. But that could be interpreted differently, just because darth vader exists doesnt mean he was instantly badass and sith lord. It would have taken time for him to get to the level we know. Also it could just be misdirection with scenes. They may never meet or its a vision. Calm down.

@@sleepy0 Mando was the only reason I got Disney+. I watched all them & wasn't really impressed with the feeling of a weekly sitcom/drama. I tried watching Boba but ultimately stopped in the middle of the 3rd episode during the abysmal fight scene against the group of dumb assassins.

If only anything in this meant anything... But it all leads to the sequel trilogy... Luke's arc, Vader's redemption, Obi-Wans sacrifice... It's all irrelevant. Thanks, Kennedy.
