i hope badly not. I assume they'll put in some 'close calls with meeting the empire' in the first season, but you can only keep up the story of an unnoticed guardian for so long when you make him take part in close shaves with detection. Then again, it's disney so who knows.

I love that they got Joel Edgerton back for this to play Uncle Owen. The guy has incredible scope as an actor, something we never saw in his cameo, so I'm excited to see what he does with the character.

“We lost.” The impact of that line coming from Ewan is just raw and really just hits you in the feels like you feel bad for Obi Wan but we are all just so excited to see him again. You can just tell this is going to be an amazing experience.

This series better have Liam Neeson in it. "Teach you to commune with him, I will." In fact, that might be who Obi-Wan is speaking to in this trailer. It needs to show Obi-Wan with the weight of the world on his shoulders. The republic has fallen, the Jedi have been vanquished... And mainly it's because his padawan, his brother, his pupil... Anakin fell from grace. Obi-Wan MUST feel responsible for this. He should be in mourning for Anakin as well. It needs to be Qui-Gan that pulls him from the despair. We also must see the great moment when Obi-Wan learns Anakin (Vader) is alive. Basically, this series could be one of the greatest things Star Wars has produced. The emotional weight has to be there. A heavy, hard-hitting drama. With some action and adventure of course. Also... This show should not forget, Obi-Wan is your main character and you have a world-class actor portraying him. Don't make the plot bigger than it has to be and bogged down by too many characters. I sincerely hope Disney doesn't botch this amazing opportunity.

I whole-heartedly agree with you! Just a little clarification, you mean Qui-Gon encouraging and guiding Obi-Wan the way Obi-Wan did with Luke after A New Hope? That's a great idea! Also, I especially agree with your point about having the show actually centre around Obi-Wan and the burden of guilt that he carries. I'm looking forward to new characters, but not if most of the focus gets put on them. Hopefully this will be great!

"The fight is done....we lost."....poor Obi-Wan, he still doesn't know that at the beginning of the sequel trilogy "we lost even worse" and the beautiful victory of Return of the Jedi was completely destroyed... well, at least this time they cannot kill this character clumsily like they did with all the others. I just wish the story of 7-9 was different. Show looks very good.

@@0Marketts0 Nonetheless, what is the goal of this Obi-Wan series now that the universe is pretty much ruined? Caring for a child that is going to have no effect at all and grew into a failed, disilusioned Jedi that died without purpose? From the atrocious comics with a time-travelling Darth Vader (Lord Momin, seriously?), to the Ancients plot in the animates series and then into the sequels with an untrained girl that is a Force of nature (pun intended) and destroys people with decades of training just because so, every single thing has been a blunder. Imagine a Expanded Universe ("Legends") with today CGI technology covering the Yuzhan-Vong invasion and war, with an army of Jedi and infiltrated Sith fighting for the Galaxy, and then going into the New Sith Order and Jedi having to fight Abeloth, since they did the Ancients thing before. So much wasted potential and for what? To save a few millions for use of characters like Mara Jade, Anakin Solo etc? This franchise is dead, everything now is a nostalgia run and marketing ploy. Well done Disney.

@@lincoln2324 The thing is Luke isn't supposed to know who Obi-Wan Kenobi truly is yet till Episode IV. Obi-Wan can't train Luke yet because (he isn't old enough to become a Jedi just yet till he's 19) he isn't supposed to know something in the ways of the Jedi and he only knows a little of Obi-Wan plus his true intentions with the Jedi Order just till Episode IV as it was explained in the Original Trilogy, Comics and Novels also he trained Luke for 14 days then. How can Obi-Wan train Luke then if he isn't supposed to know much about him?

As a 17 year old kid, I’ve been watching star wars movies since I was 2 and 3 years old. I’ve had the lightsabers, the action figures, the robes, Halloween costumes, all of the stuff and obi wan has always been a hero of mine. I can’t express how unbelievably excited I am for ewan mcgregor and Hayden to be back!! I feel like I’m 5 years old again!! Who.m else is hyped for may 25!?

Why? Any series has the potential to go way more in depth within the story and charactor development because it has the time to do it. Movies are great and with solid storytelling can be good but episodes 7,8,9 were left to the hands of people who thought you could tell a below mediocre story, make $ and didn't care about the spirit of what star wars is. All of The star wars series however, have been solid through and through. Not only cause Favreau and Filoni are at the helm but also because they have the time to take deep dives with characters and fully develop plot lines.

How anyone is ok with what they did with bobas character is beyond me He gets beat up by some woman in the madalorian and now he's some sort of tribal warrior The whole point of boba being such a cult figure is because he only cares about himself but now he joined up with some lgbtq diverse mods and rides a rancor in a gay pride parade How the hell can you like what they did to him
