Saved them so they could either be hunted down and slaughtered by Anakin and his inquisitors also former Jedi. Turned to the dark side by Vader if he thought they were even worth the effort or just forced to hide for the rest of their lives. Since this new hope didn't come for like thirty years and they were all already middle aged lol.

Second, Karl Marx only came up with the idea of Communism, and Communism as an idea isn't bad. The idea of money and resources being distributed evenly is a really nice thought. It's just that it isn't as good in practice, and it being put in practice ended up going poorly. Besides, just because he has a historical figure as his profile picture doesn't mean he's a Communist...

@@urwifesboyfriend1713 the thing is he would've been fine training Anakin had Palpatine not been a devil disguised as an angel on both of Anakin's shoulders. Even if he weren't fully equipped, even that isn't really on him; Qui-Gon kind of strong armed him into doing so by making it his dying request. He was of course right to do so based on the events of the OT, but still.

I really wish Disney would admit that they're movies were terrible. The actors and writers have been outspoken about the daily script changes. Finn didn't know he wasn't a Jedi until he went to the premiere. Some producer floated the idea of Rey and Palpatine being related at the end of filming and they just through it in the movie. The actors and writers had no idea and said it was never part of the plan. It's not nostalgia people are holding on to. I've watched so many interviews I can list about 50 changes made well filming. That is how and why you end up with a terrible storyline and a very poor plot. This isn't anyone holding onto their childhood memories because the mandalorian proves all audiences respond to a great plot and well written story.

my favorite Jedi are order 66 survivors I think a whole show should be dedicated to order 66 survivors in which each season follows a different survivor where they try to evade the acquisitor and live out their life after the fall of the order then maybe at the end of the season Vader shows up and kills them or maybe they make it or die some other way

Obi-Wan was the perfect person to send that message he has such unbridled charisma and a calming sense about him I truly believe he was next in line after Yoda to become Grandmaster of the Jedi

Man saved a universe with love and basically giving up any power. George wrote the perfect opposites but both are the exact same emotional personality, Anakin was misguided and manipulated with no real father or mentor who understood him, just his brother who tried to do his best. Luke had Yoda and Kenobi both literally learned from their time with Anakin and everything they did wrong and made sure to not fuck up with Luke. Anakin directly changed the Jedi order for Luke to carry the torch of, just for Disney to say Luke would kill his nephew Padawan over a bad dream god it's a travesty what they did to the simple perfect story of Lucas

See, Obi-Wan’s great because every actor that’s played him felt that they were the same character, just in different parts of his life, something other characters in Star Wars were missing. Ewan McGregor felt like a young version of Alec Guinness. James Arnold Taylor sounded like McGregor and Stephen Stanton sounded like Guiness. Really impressive overall

I love how calming his voice and presence is. Imagine all the terrifying things happening to all the surviving Jedi. Then there’s Obi Wan’s message, a reminder that not all is lost. There are others out there. It wasn’t only a warning, it also inspired hope. He truly is G.O.A.T.

Ever since I was a kid Obi Wan has been my favorite Jedi. He is everything I value and admire. I truly cannot wait for his Disney+ series.

@@amuroray9115 everything has issues. But if you need something extra to like something then you dont really like it to begin with. The prequels make you invested in the era, the era shouldnt make you invested in the prequels because the prequels are what started it

@@robertogurrola7465 I watched the prequels as a kid back in 2003. Years later, I rewatched them. Thanks to the OT mentioning the “Clone Wars”. I was invested the era overall. But prequels had numerous issues that were hard to ignore. Nothing is stopping someone from changing their mind on them years later.

@@amuroray9115 I always loved the prequels as a kid and still today while I was expecting to find it shitty after all the negative fudge about those when I became adult. I still don't understand those so called "issues". It's logic, vast, epic music, epic Scenaries, epic fights, mature problematics, characters development on years, several backgrounds on parallel That converge at the end, dramatic epic heartbreaking end with the future Vader... Well I don't see what's wrong. It's what is closer to games and legends. I only heard about people not liking jar jar binks and the midichlorians that I suspect comes from old people that didn't like the 3D and jokes (but there was little puppets in the original) and extremist believers that didn't like the science instead of the "faith" of the force in a country that had 3/4 of creationist dickheads at that time in the US.

"with the dark shadow of the empire…" It's good to see that with everything going on around him, Kenobi still had the wherewithal to wax poetic in his dire warning that would probably be better served by keeping it simple. I was half expecting to hear him to start getting into "we few, we happy few..."

But I think it's more a testament to the siths tenacity rather than the jedi hubris Palpatine just used that albeit subtle hubris to destroy them but the jedi didn't do anything to stop it they trusted the force to much I think

That was very emotional for me. Idk why but i forgot how long its been since he made that message. Almost 20 years in our time now. And even though its fiction these characters marked parts of my life, trials and tribulations. They keep us going and remind of of the light times and the dark struggles.

Same here, the whole feeling of the twilight of the Republic is so melancholic looking back on it. Clone Wars are far less exciting and more tragic.
