There are good free resources on the internet about Muhammad ﷺ Lectures: Seerah series by Yasir Qadhi Books: "Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources" by Martin Lings and "The Sealed Nectar" by Safiur Rahman.

Myth doesn't mean secret knowledge, it was a synonym and predecessor of logos, meaning knowledge passed/transferred orally but with a focus on storytelling, whereas logos is a later development based on logic. If you don't learn greek you will never understand greek philosophers fully.
