​@ For me personally, I would personally rank Jisoo below Tzuyu, Irene, and Lisa (I'm not sure about Dahyun though lol). Compared to these girls, Jisoo is more problematic to me with her glaring tension, pushing, and (stuffy) placement issues. I heard from others that Lisa is doing relatively decent nowadays, but I haven't heard her recent material yet (sorry, Bartek lol) and she sounds thinner and more nasal (well YG things for the latter lol) than Tzuyu and Irene to me from what I can recall from memory, so for now, I would rank Lisa below both of them. Tzuyu seems to be the cleanest and closest to some form of breath support among all the girls presented here, so she's at the front for me. I think I used to rank Sana > Dahyun (mostly because of my unfamiliarity with Dahyun's vocals), but now hearing both of them more clearly and better, I would say Dahyun is cleaner and more relaxed with less placement issues than Sana despite being quite airy. So something like: Tzuyu > Irene > Lisa > Dahyun/Jisoo > Sana/Yeri > Momo

Tbh, Wendy used to be a good belter during her predebut but maybe because she used to have a vocal nodule before. So her trainor jinyoung, suggest her to master her head voice. That is why. Honestly, she rarely use her chest voice. She either used her mix and head voice.

Another one is that the concepts of snsd shows or emphasized Taeyeon's vocal skills. However, if you look at Red velvet songs, her vocals was hold back a little bit given that she have a very thicker voice compare to other members. For example, when they sing together, they sound very autonomous and it is hard to distinguish of who's who except if it's adlibs.

karina uses more chest engagement in her singing but she doesn’t have the development to back it up so she’s more prone to being messy this is opposite of giselle who sings lighter but also cleaner and has her moments of showcasing proper support that can pass in avg tbh i wouldn’t say karina have better lows, gi can also do as good down to g#3. she just lack singing opportunities so gurlie can show us more tbh

Giselle just needs to develop her cords more in order to remain solid all throughout, she already has the foundation laid out for proper support in her mid range.

His ranking has Lisa on top of the underdeveloped/undeveloped vocalists and my comment is just basing on that. I do agree with your points but in my opinion Dahyun should be lower than Jisoo and Irene and Tzuyu above Jisoo. Anyone in the underdeveloped/undeveloped have small gaps so it really just depends on how you evaluate them.

I don't think the gap is big considering Kariselle have better lows and Giselle has a connected HV. We haven't heard much, and Nayeon sounds more tight than Kariselle. For now, I'm betting on Giselle with very little materials compared to all big 3 kpop groups but already on the same level as Karina and Nayeon.

sometimes it’s barely there for support so yeah i’d consider it inconsistent. it’s not that she can’t have it for HV at D5, Eb5 or something but there’s a notable gap in how much support she has on her head voice compared to yunjin, wendy, even haseul has somewhat better coordination tbh. if it helps so far i also find haewon’s coordination up there to be kinda meh lol

yeah nayeon does have a fair few moments where she’s not necessarily shallow, it’s the kind of song they sing deceiving tbh. i’d even say there’s kinda of a gap between the two but its smaller than between rosé and rina

I wouldn't give lows too much credit. Both Giselle and Karina caps at showing support on G#3. Karina's vibrato can also be very wobbly and doesn't follow a proper rhythmic pattern so I wouldn't say she has an edge on that. The same goes for Karina's runs, no W-A idol truly has proper control over their agility, and Rina is no exception. She usually just throws her notes around (Life's Too Short is a very recent example, even in the studio version).

@@daisyr8490 It's not that, Karina does not exactly have the edge on Gigi with that because she doesn't even do too good with those aspects in singing. For example, Giselle can have a natural vibrato come at times, that are much more stable sounding that what Karina does on the daily with her usual pushy approach. Giselle and Karina can pull off simple short runs just fine, but Karina falls short when its longer, faster, or even slower in tempo, and Gi doesn't even have any lines to showcase agility, so both of them are pretty much equal at that. Things like dynamics, agility and vibrato lean more less into subjectivity anyway compared to objectivity, that's why development in the three registers is considered more for comparing singers in KVA (and frankly most vocal pedagogy books is similar to this principle)
