luckily my school went on a schoolday so me and one of my friends ran through the long queue line but since some idiot took out their phone we had to wait for 10 minutes at the end and we saw the last one

Suwupreme, yeah they don’t argue about the ride’s safety anymore because of The Smiler accidents. They also stopped doing the ‘don’t look down’ thing in 2004 due to someone suing.

Most of the SWs at Alton Towers have sinister (Smiler and Oblivion) or evil (Th13teen, Nemesis and SW8), Air/Galactica is the only SW to not have a sinister/evil theme.

I currently work at alton towers operating smiler, nemesis and oblivion and can honestly say more people are scared to go on this than smiler even after the smiler incident but because i operate the rides its nothing new to me to see people scared 😂 great job tho love meeting new people and i love to help calm people down before they ride and i always double check restraints to make sure you feel 100% safe :)

After all, those lights are there to simulate the preparation for a procedure, and we all try to look away from those blinding lights. If you think about it as a procedure, or a test of your body and mind, perhaps that will help? I guess I don't know what I'm talking about, since I've never even been to Alton Towers, and I'm scared of rides with inversions. One day, I want to get over that so I too can get corrected by The Smiler.

I had to tell my sister and her friend to try there best to ignore everything he's saying, that he's there to intimidate you and put fear in your mind. It's best just to keep walking if you can and if you have a friend with you keep talking to them especially if you're afraid of heights or intimidated by the ride itself. This guy was a good pick for oblivion and does make fear a reality just walking through. Push through and get on it you'll love the oblivion experience.

If I ever get the chance to go to Alton Towers, I don't care how long or how short the queue for Oblivion is, when I go on it, I'm sticking around in the queue to watch all of these videos. Why would I do that, instead of just heading straight for the station if the line is short? Well, because these videos are a vital part of the Oblivion experience. Which is why I hate only being able to watch POV videos of this on KZfaq, because they don't show the full Oblivion experience.

Well if you ever go to Alton towers the longest queues will be for the coasters will most likely be on Galactica, Rita and spinball whizzer other than those they're all pretty much under 30 minutes usually

+Teenage mutant Furry Gamer (Valour 1984) it's sad cause in like the late 90s and early 2000s the queues for this ride were pretty huge so you had time to experience all this. From about 2012 onwards the queue time rarely gets above 0 minutes.

I did it very first thing, then very last thing, front row each time, end seat first time. The first time was amazing, what a rush after 9 years without riding a coaster. I was like "damn, is this hobby really for me?!" The second ride was still good, but nothing like the first. I was hooked though, Ride On!

@@DannytheTourist ain't gonna lie when we reached CP I was tanked from two weeks on the road and walking around 7 or so parks under 34 centigrade sun, malnourished, dehydrated, almost no sleep (plastic pillows in hotels) and I'd only just had covid too (didn't stop me riding Storm Chaser 21 times though). So I was so knackered I wanted to curl up on a bench on the million dollar midway and sleep. I rode Valravn hoping it would wake me up a bit, but on the brake run after I was yawning.

The real ride isn’t that bad, it’s just a burst of joy and adrenaline on the drop, you feel great and daredevilous! It’s a feeling of victory and strength, and dominance, don’t worry Alton do this just for the design. If it wasn’t safe it would be closed and the park would be fined
