Not gonna lie, getting Umbra at level 1 sounds like a grand time. Nice work taking down a damn level 50 enemy with enough cheese to force Sheogorath to give up.

Umbra is my favorite weapon in Oblivion. Once you pick up Black Star, you become a GOD.

I thought of this character when I did random rolls in Balder's gate 3's character creation. made a Githyanki Sorcerer named Mr. Squiggles. and now you used yours in a video, fun timing

Been following this channel since the beginning and the improvement is crazy. You've seemed to master being yourself while recording and your comedy style has become more coherent. Love the content and without hearing it today I didn't realize I do actually say "huh, that's cool dude" after every video.

On my first play through of oblivion I completed the entire shivering isles quest line without leveling up, all because I didn’t know you had to sleep to level up

This was my first character when we got oblivion Mom helped 10 y/o me make a character like hers "Don't put those as major, do this so you can train stats" That character never reached lvl 2

If you don't wear Fin Gleam every time you crawl through a dungeon, you're Oblivioning wrong!

With Umbra, you can use the paint brush staircase glitch to get on top of one of the pillars in her dungeon and then just position her next to the poison trap. Takes like 5 minutes but it auto kills her without you needing to do anything or risk dying

5:01 Why didn't you immediately equip the helmet, it has water breathing. Isn't level scaling tied to your skill levels aswell? Because I remember leveling every skill to the possible max at the end of the tutorial dungeon thinking: "If I am at level 1 but with everything maxed, this game will actually be fun to play, instead of whacking at enemies for 5 minutes." But I was greated to minotaurs in the wild not far from the Imperial city.

yeah, it gets pretty stuck, but I went around it by using the console to start quests etc.

The leveling problem in Oblivion is overstated and can easily be offset by gathering essential quest followers like the Jemane brothers, Martin and Jauffre as well as enchantments and custom spells. The hardest parts of the game on the highest difficulty are the tutorial and the quest, Through a Nightmare, Darkly due to the fact that you cannot use spells, your gear or bring your followers with you. Outside of these, Oblivion is a very easy game regardless of how you level, even at the highest difficulty. The Shivering Isles is a little harder because you can't bring your followers along but by the time you go there, you should have OP enchantments.

14 minutes of proving that Oblivion's leveling system and difficulty slider are completely broken. (And still, what a glorious mess this game is)

max difficulty is the only way to play, then it actually makes sense to stay at level one. looks like you play on min difficulty though, which is really lame.

He and most play at the normal midway point. He's done Lord knows on max. Either way as long as it's fun. For instance I used to be a good gamer, long story short a neurologic disease cripples me at times. Now has me playing just below normal. I also realized playing hard was wasting what time I have left with long battles, death and gear or level grinding. There's so many quests I want to do and games to play it'd be boring and agonizing to always have a harder battle. But it is fun when playing hard mode plus with friends taking turns to see who can beat the boss in games like Dark souls, Tales and DevilMayCrys. All preference 🤷♀️
