I can see this being something close to Suisei's heart. Like she mentioned, she herself was a really struggling indie. Even with all her talent she was barely hanging on, well past when she realistically should have quit. So she really knows what the Indie struggle is like. Even at the top now she's never forgotten what it was like at the bottom. Sasuga Sui-chan.

Inuyama Tamaki mentioned that it's hard to collab with holo recently (even for him who used to collab with them frequently enough to be considered a joke member) because they're ridiculously busy. With 3rd Fes over though, they might have a little bit of free time for collabs (though that's hopeful thinking) It's likely Ruri-nee was able to get Sui-chan to agree because it wouldn't take much of her time (it was only a 5 minute call) and she even got permission from Sui-chan's manager to do it. If you're looking for an outside collab tho, Iofi will be making a guest appearance on Ruri-nee's radio show tomorrow (Mar 22) EDIT: Iofi guest appearance moved to Mar 31

I mean, there's the upcoming VSaikyo tournament, which will see Holomems joining up with or going against other vtubers in APEX. One of the teams even includes Matsuri and Sara.

They have a lot of Holo members to collab for, to begin with. That alone makes it kind of "unnecessary" to having collab outisde of Hololive, except for specific reasons.
