There’s actually a couple of extra levels in which, if I remember correctly you play as a Magnaguard fighting Clones, playing as Yoda fighting against the clones, and playing as Grievous fighting against clones and then Obi-Wan.

The cool thing about this game was that the devs got an early copy of the script and made the levels. As development of the movie progressed, the game already had levels completed and couldn’t go back to make them more like the movie. George Lucas thought that the order 66 sequence was too violent and cut out most of it.

Great lore detail. In the canon ending, Anakin said to Obi that "you underestimate my power". But in the alt ending where he wins, Anakin said "you underestimate the power of the Dark Side". Anakin lost because he was arrogant. If he had faith in the Force, he would have won.

Legit tho, why was this game so good? It didn't neeed to go as hard as it did in duals, but we had counters, counter-counters, block breaks, battle-of-wills and epic finishers. Loved playing this with my mates as a kid.

20:00 the x wing and arc 170 were both made by the in universe company INCOM, when the empire planed to nationalize INCOM (qbd pick Sinar Fleet Systems TIE line to fit the tarkin docturn of cheaper, non hyperactive, non shielded swarm fightsrs) they basicly started working with the rebel alliance as their loosing bid for the program that would create the TIE LN when Sinar won was perfect for their needs of a durable speedy and powerful hit and run hyperdrive capable strike fighter, you can also see the TIEs liniage in another clone wars Era fighter, the V Wing, a cheaper, faster (but slightly higher budget the TIE LN with shielding) swarm fighter you could deploy in large numbers to protect your capitol ships

This has the best dueling mode in any Star Wars game... even more so than Jedi academy. This game has specific moves set for every character, no random slashes. You can dash around your opponent all you want, there is perfect block and you parry their attacks, regenerate life, there are even special moves when you hold square and/or triangle and there are clashes too. It has everything a dueling game needs

The ship in the beginning was not an X-wing. It was an arc-170 fighter which is sort of the prelude to an xwing. It’s on the clones side side since in the original canon the clones transitioned into the empire.

That is a ARC-170 not a x-wing. That is both an appropriate and the expected ship you would see used by clones/republice in the 3rd movie game considering it first appeared in Episode III. starting out strong with a miss 10 seconds in my guy.

The X-wing was based on that Clone Wars ship but they lost the Imperial Navy contract to the TIE Fighter so the Rebels bought their whole stock.

in the multiplayer battle mode general grievous has an unblockable grapple back breaking move you can just spam and win every match

The combat system had a level of depth that modern SW games haven’t been able to match. Memorizing combos, grapples, saber lock escapes, and finishing moves made it super fun.

*Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, Bounty Hunter, Racer Revenge and Battlefront & Battlefront 2 on PS2 were awesome!* The secret unlockable level was the duel between old "Ben" Kenobi and Darth Vader on the Death Star. It was a great final duel to a great game!

This game almost killed me to make. 14+ hours for a good year and the whole time, LucasFilm was basically making the movie up as they went along (hence the discrepancies between the game and the movie). Remeber playing this on my sister ex's ps2, and getting to the turret section on the first level...during the end pre-rendered cutscene, i could still control the cannons in the BG...was the funniest shit id seen that year

One of my favorite games on the Ps2 as a kid.

I remember as a little kid playing this all the time. Outside of Halo, It was the best game around. I loved how the writers made it to where we get to see the characters in action during sequences you don’t see in the movie. Also, the voice acting is spot on even though it’s not Ewan and Hayden talking.

This game, was my childhood, I absolutely loved it! I really enjoyed that they put the actual scenes from the movie in it. The proper way to create a game that came out alongside a movie, one of the very few that was actually a good movie game
