This is really handy, just ordered the obsbot tail air and its coming tomorrow, I normally work with manual settings and use ND filters all the time with my camera's for business, even indoors when you have a low aperture such as 1.8, so was concerned about exposure and shutter cranking up but this solves that problem nicely. So this will help with streaking which is great, but for those who don't know aside from the streaking, in auto, it will alter the ISO and shutter speed to control the exposure and with that you have a more jittery motion effect, more noticeable on faster moving objects. To have natural motion blur we use the 180 degree rule, so if you shoot at 30 FPS your shutter speed should be 60. It creates the more naturalistic look. Having ND filters means the camera does not have to crank that shutter speed so much so it keeps motion more natural, plus helps with that dreaded sun streak. Just ordered the ND filters too, thank god client work is paying for this. Excited to see what it can do. Thanks for the demo

Jason, This seems similar to the old UV filters for 35 mm cameras. Is the ND similar? What was the numbers you were calling out? The 16 and 32 were noticable. Nice background too! Merry Christmas.

I have no experience with the uv filters but I’m guessing they work exactly the same. Numbers were 4,8,16&32. Thanks Bruce!

There wasn't much change in the image because the camera was set to auto. Set it to manual iso and exposure and try the test again.

Great video and thank you for sharing! Sorry for asking this question (different topic). I'm curious, is the Obsbot tail air capable of tracking american football. For example, if I'm setting up on the 50 yard and the scrimmage starts at the 20. If the ball is thrown for 30 yards, will it be able to PTZ to the action?

It will not track like this. The uniforms cause it to grab any player at random. I have had some success tracking one of the referees if the sideline is not too crowded.

Should i get a couple of these for Baseball /softball Can you test a through fence application so the fence isnt in view? could be magnet mount which I use a lot or some sort of fence mount. let me know thanks I am mening the actual Tail Ait not the filters

You get a good thru fence view if you’re not wanting to move the camera head.

Do the filters stack magnetically? Like, if I wanted 20 instead of 16 or 32, could I stack the 16 and the 4 filters?

They do stack like you describe. I get a little more motor noise but it operated as usual with the remote when I had two stacked on it.
