I preordered this without hearing a single note. After my order went through and now that university is finished I finally got some time to listen to it and I'm happy to say that my faith was not misplaced. Always will love Obscura.

Es interesante escuchar la evolución de estos alemanes pasaditos de rosca. En "Retribution", se nota un acercamiento más a lo 'Death' con los riffs estruendosos y sucios de Kummerer. En "Cosmogenesis", Münzner y Grossman cambian totalmente el estilo de la banda a un adicto sonido más técnico y limpio. Para "Omnivium" sólo se notan ligeros cambios y líricas más instrospectivas. Ya en "Akróasis" Linus y Steffen explotan su potencial logrando una atmósfera más solemne y con tendencia 'speed'. Pero ahora, con el estreno de Diluvium, se esperaba la propuesta del fermattaconservatorioboy de Trujillo (fanático del jazz fusion y funk), y mezclada con la pasadadevergues de Linus y una batería curiosa y distinta de Lanser, estoy que me mojo al escuchar el disco entero una y otra vez.

Wow! I was kinda afraid on how it would sound, but it's amazing, pretty brutal, way more straight forward, i would say a very Spawn of Possession esque vibe. The solo... excited to see what more Rafael have under the sleeves, pretty jazzy. Clip was cool too, cosmic sage Steffen got me xD

The chords during the chorus are so catchy (and ominous)! But 2:25 takes the cake in this song. Along with the new Beyond Creation, this is my most anticipated release this year. One song out, and you delivered! Can't wait for Diluvium!!!

Last month, they finished recording their next album! 3 days ago they posted the following: "While we prepare content and announcements for our new album, we still have one more music video of a song from Earthborn Evolution coming up very soon..." So we'll get more news before too long, I hope.

I honestly didn’t expect Diluvium to arrive so soon, so I’m pleasantly surprised! And I can still put on a few songs from the new Bloodshot Dawn, Inferi, Rivers of Nihil and last years Cytotoxin record, while waiting for Obscura, BC, Ritual Aura, etc Tech death makes every year worthwhile!

I envy you! I HATE this song, and always skip it whenever I hear the album - often starting with Mortification - An Epilogue to Infinity and then Clandestine Stars - Emergent Evolution. The title track here is so forgettable to me :(

Just got home from seeing them on their first night of their Diluvium World Tour. They absolutely killed. In order of performance: Anisoptera, Exist, Inferi, Archspire, Beyond Creation, and Obscura. Every group ripped it up tonight. I think Archspire won best performance. Obscura has the deep catalog of songs, but Archspire whipped the crowd into a frenzy. Most fierce pit I've seen in a long time. Made the pit at the recent Slayer concert look like a cake walk at an old folk's home.

I guess because you say so it MUST be true. I'm sure one could have said the same of Fountainheads leads and solos on the last one considering how off the wall his style is but yes, I guess Refael is where one draws the line. In the end it just opinions anyways and neither of us are 'right' in any provable way. I like them, you don't I guess. end of story.
