This video brought me back to a quote from Instagram I saw like a year ago. “A narcissists mindset.” “That didn’t happen, and if it did, it wasn’t that bad and if it was, it’s not a big deal, and if it is, I didn’t mean to do it, and if I did, it was your fault.” Pretty much sums up the entirety of it.

"I would never make a mistake like that" Y'know guys, maybe she's right. Who hasn't tripped and accidentally found themselves in a group chat with a ton of kids and started asking them their fav sex positions and whether they're virgins? Who hasn't slipped and convinced a 9 year old to put his hand down their pants? Who hasn't fallen and sent their underwear through the mail to a 13 year old? How can we blame her for such rookie mistakes?

I know it’s a very tiny detail but the “bony little back” line with her posture enhancing her thinness just reminded me that she was accused of body shaming a heavier women at one point. I can totally forgive that (even as an overweight woman myself) but the fact that she’s using her thinness to make us feel more sorry for her (like she needs to be protected from the “haters”) really gets under my skin. She has to be held accountable and find a different career path that doesn’t involve power and heavy influence over minors. Ooof this is a rough one to sit through. "I'm not a groomer I'm just a loser" is an insanely dangerous concept to put out into the world. Guess what colleen? All groomers are losers. They're usually not some scary psychopathic masterminds like the stereotypes in horror movies, they are embarrassing little losers and are shockingly bad at hiding their manipulation- it's just that children can't see through that because they are *children*. You don't have to be a mastermind to manipulate children, it is incredibly easy that's why a loser can do that and all these groomers are usually losers. People don't understand that grooming doesn't look like some shocking spectacularly mastery of manipulation, it's just a weird loser adult talking to children inappropriately. And groomers can so perfectly hide behind that big scary manipulator stereotype "see I'm not like that I'm not a mastermind I couldn't be a groomer" yes you could and you are. This is exactly what grooming is.

That is definitely the worst part of the song, in my opinion. I can understand how a person may struggle to "get" the grooming stuff and why it's wrong, but I find it hard to understand how your reaction to that girl's video is "it was a fart joke relax sheesh" as opposed to the "Oh my god I am so sorry that you felt violated!". Acknowledging her experience doesn't automatically cast blame on you, unless you are very selfish and insecure. You can validate their experience, without somehow admitting to malicious intentions. So that one line to me speaks the most to her lack of empathy for others.

Even calling her actions "mistakes" is a form of manipulation, because it implies they were unintentional. I think a lot of people use the word "mistake" when what they mean is "blunder." For example, in chess, if you tip your king over with your elbow while hitting the time clock, that's a mistake, and nobody will take that as a real surrender. If you make a move that results in you quickly getting checkmated, that's a blunder, and that loss is all yours. @@LovelyComplex14 the fart joke everyone is referring to is that during her show on tour she brings an audience member up to the stage to do a "yoga challenge" thing. what that entails is that the audience member gets brought up on stage, lays on their back, and colleen as miranda is above them and spreads their legs open as wide as they can go. after a point with their legs apart a fart noise gets made, miranda backs away and lets go of the legs looking disgusted, and the audience member gets back up and goes back to their spot in the audience while the rest of the audience are all laughing at them. what happened in this specific instance that we are all mad about is that one of the people brought on stage was a 16 year old girl wearing a short, flow-y romper and had her legs spread open in front of the entire audience to the point where the flow-y romper moved as one would expect that type of fabric to and exposed the spandex shorts the young girl was wearing underneath her romper to the entire audience. had this young girl not been wearing spandex, her underwear, or worse, would have been exposed to the entire audience for laughs because colleen chose to still bring her on stage even after realizing this audience member wasn't wearing pants. this entire bit still isn't great doing to a kid no matter what but had the audience member been wearing actual pants so that they wouldn't have to worry about their clothing riding up or anything then it would have been a slightly less bad situation, still bad tho. hope this helped provide some clarity?

I have a feeling like Colleen have lived through something horrible in her childhood (too many uncle and x-rated jokes, unhealthy behaviour with kids in general) and she has a narcissistic personality disorder or something. This disorder makes you a chameleon with excellent abilities to adapt when needed, very charming (to easily get your way), to create and wear appropriate masks, but without even a bit of empathy and very low levels of natural hormones of happiness and satisfaction, which makes you a very dangerous person. It also affects your brain: areas that are responsible for feeling guilt, sympathy, remorse and those that enable you to analyse your behaviour, they are not developed at all! That's why they act so strange. Also their memory alters what really happened, they twist the reality in their mind and truly believe they are innocent, and that's why they are so good at gaslighting - they really believe what they say, and they enjoy hurting people and only accept unconditional admiration. There's so much more about this disorder, and I really see it in Colleen. She doesn't think she's guilty or did something wrong, she thinks people just despise her for fun (she sees it as the only probable reason because it's what she feels towards everyone and what she does). Also Miranda is a way for her not to wear her 'appropriate' mask sometimes and openly be disgusting to people. Public opinion is very important for her as for all narcissists, and right now she feels extreme pain because she's been exposed and caught, but the pain is because people hate her and don't admire her anymore. She is really unhealthy, and trying to communicate with her as with a healthy person will not work. That doesn't excuse her as well. She needs help.

You can only help someone who is willing to change and be helped, and she has rather spectacularly showed she has no interest in either. It's compassionate of you to look deeper and try to understand why she's like this but I think that help is better given to her victims, the people who actually think and care about others and who were really hurt by her. She may have been hurt as a child but as an adult she is still responsible for her own choices. Her downfall is of her own making and completely deserved. Save your kindness for the brave young people like Adam who took a risk and came forward with organized facts to expose her for the monster she has become so no one else will fall for her lies and be hurt by her again. Give them your support so they know they are heard and to show society victims can be heard.

As someone also pointed about out her appearance & her calculated decision to wear what she wore to portray a dark, sad, gaunt appearance while slouched over her little ukulele in a spaghetti strap shirt so we all won’t miss her bony appearance is ALL carefully thought out..she’s a performer..performers put great thought into every single small detail, this includes clothing, posture, expressions, tone, colors, hair, makeup etc. She’s trying to be a mastermind but everyone (hopefully) saw through this intent of manipulation. She obviously has mental health issues and unfortunately some people with mental health issues..because they need help & don’t think with a normal mindset are the most dangerous to others. If it weren’t for the tangible evidence (the saved chats, pics, video, etc) not many people would have believed the victims. I have to admit, without that stuff, I think I’d have trouble believing it. I try to believe victims as a general rule but, let’s face it, not every accusation of wrong doing is true. In the case of grooming accusations against Colleen Ballinger? Yes, I absolutely would have had my private doubts if not for that stuff. So for so long, she’s been a YT icon, and perceived, by myself even as a casual admirer, as a kind of oasis of wholesomeness and kindness in a sea of trash and mud throwing. I once put a white shirt in with the colored laundry and now I'm forbidden from criticizing child groomers because I make mistakes too, so really I guess we're the same. The level of UNHINGED in that argument??? She's really relying on no one having the two brain cells to rub together that 'extensive evidence of child grooming and inappropriate/predatory behavior towards minors from multiple sources' is not your everyday ~innocent little mistake~ that everyone makes, and yeah, maybe those of us who don't do that shit ARE in a position to spit down on her. That or - and this is a scary thought - she really does think what she's done is something everyone is a little bit guilty of, and she truly cannot conceive of how many other people do not think or act like she has, EVER. Thinking of her essentially going "oh, like YOU'VE never groomed a minor" (but not in those words, because then she'd have to admit she actually did something to take responsibility for, and it's clear taking responsibility for things makes her break out in hives) in the full belief that other people DO regularly make those 'mistakes', that what is normal for her is totally normal for everyone else, is honestly chilling. So which is it, Colleen? Are you blatantly minimizing the severity and harm of your actions by acting like child grooming is just an innocent little mistake everyone makes, or are you so warped that you think everyone does things like this so no one has the right to judge you for it? Because either you believe what you're saying or you don't; it's a binary choice.

@@kacievance3721there was this girl who she called on stage during one of her shows for this bit called the yoga segment or something and in front of thousands of people in the crowd she spread this 16 year old girl's legs apart as far as she could while the whole audience is laughing at her and colleen is laughing too because this is like part of her "humor" or something. there's a lot of vids on tiktok and youtube explaining the situation and it's super messed up.

@@kacievance3721I don't believe she physically attacked anyone, but she was definitely inappropriate with kids several times. The incident mentioned in the other comment left the girl feeling violated and unsafe, so that may why oc is calling it that.

Because she’s an “actress”, this whole thing feels like a bit or a skit. It’s completely bizarre. I put actress in quotes because if she were more talented, we wouldn’t be so acutely able to press the bullshit button on her. She didn’t rehearse her facial expressions enough. I’ve never felt like I was the one being judged in someone else’s apology video…

It reminds me of my exhusband who would say "I said I was sorry' but never ever actually said he was sorry and then turned it around how I was beating a dead horse lol. The mindfuck.
