Despite this pedigree, it appears that she has taken some odd and alternative approaches to her music over the years - she claims that her singing voice has improved by talking to her cat and that her signature ending to a "Baby" tune was the result of a cold.

SHE WAS IN SO MANY movies, you have noo idea. She did Swan Princess, Anastasia, Lion King II, the two sequels of aladdin, little toaster, chorus work for pocahontas, beauty and the beast, I mean, endless list. But yes, Anastasia is her most famous work.

I'm always amazed that everyone doesn't already know who the voice actors/singing voices for animated films are. Especially when they're amazing singers like Liz Callaway and Lea Salonga.

Wow, that was so rude of Meg Ryan! If I were Meg, I'd be honored to meet Liz, and thankful for her outstanding singing. Anyway, Liz's work is still remembered and beloved all around the world; it's her heartfelt singing that makes Anastasia a classic that still amazes and moves people today.

Amazing voice, amazing woman!! I recently had Liz Callaway out at my school for a performance/workshop and she blew us all away, not just musically, but also her humor, patience, and kindness. Brava Liz!!

Lovely job on the song. I saw her in Miss Saigon in 1991 as Ellen and her voice was so impressive. The alternate Kam Cheng was playing Kim that night and did an outstanding job. So, I never realized how Liz's voice was similar to Lea Salonga's until I saw the two of them on "Evening at Pops" I think. Also, Liz picked up the singing voice for Princess Jasmine for "Aladdin and the King of Thieves" & for "Aladdin and the Return of Jafar" where Lea only sang for the first "Aladdin".

One of the songs of my childhood...back in the '80s my parents' friend from New York would send us cassette tapes of songs from different Broadway cast recordings but they would be from different musicals. I grew up listening, loving, and singing this song and not knowing until many, many years later that she's pregnant and talking about her child. I love this song.

For me, it was when she cheated on her husband and abandoned her child to "find herself" with Russell Crowe. But if she hadn't done that, I definitely wouldn't have liked her after watching this. :)

Liz should also be getting speaking parts, her voice is so lovely. And Meg Ryan was pretty big in the 90s, hence full of herself. Her career is over anyway, while Liz still sings and her voice is as brilliant as ever. She made Anastasia with her iconic performances in the movie.

I think she's a light-lyric. She has resonance because of her impeccable technique like Mariah and stuff. Voice is too girly and light to be a full-lyric soprano. She's amazing though.

@@nyenye9393 There is "head register (a falsetto sound is a pure head register sound), there is "chest register" (which is akin to a speaking voice that naturally originates in the chest) and the mix happens in the middle of the voice. You can have a head dominant mix or a chest dominant mix. Lea Salonga I would say sings in a head/mix voice.
