I love local pizza places too, but I’m with Ryan and Little C’s is my favorite chain pizza..🤣🤣..Great review of the local pizza Randy and Y’all have a Great weekend brother!!

Thank you Lance, appreciate it! I grew up with Little C’s so it pained me a little to give them a downgrade but I didn’t know them down as much as I did Domino’s, LOL!!! Take care brother!

Nothing like some OBX pizza after pulling an all nighter to go shelling in the cold to catch low tide (I'm kidding😅). In all seriousness, well done on the review! You guys had me laughing several times. (Poor Ryan got dragged into now despising pizza LOL). Tight lines and full bags!!

Pizza-fueled all-night shelling trip sounds great, thanks for the idea!!! Poor Ryan may have been pizzaed-out from this adventure, but I'm happy to report that shelling has the opposite effect -- the more he does, the more he wants to do!

Great reviews of some awesome pizza outlets ! It's funny you should mention pizza my friends.. because when I was a teenager my face looked like a pizza.. but no girls seemed to want to knead my dough !! lol A friend here in Poland recently had an illness that made him look like a Margherita.. gave him a fever and a rash... at least his wifi was better with all the hot spots ! 😉 Superb review guys !! Randy bro.. I lurve the camo jacket !! ..trouble is I'm starvin' Marvin for pizza now.. and they are all closed here at this time of night in Poland !! Guess what I'm going to have for lunch tomorrow !! 😁🍕🍕 Snow ? .. If I get any more of that here in my mountains ..I'm going to have a meltdown !! lol So many pizzerias in your town !! ..I have just the one !! lol ..I try not to fall out with them because: here it is a felony to spit into garlic sauce !! 😁😁 Have an awesome week ahead !!

Have I ever ordered and supported some of these big corporate pizza chains? Yes, of course, and a lot of time the pizza is perfectly fine, BUT there are so many local mom & pop shops everywhere that often make better pizza, it just seems like supporting those places is a no-brainer!

Sadly we were closed during the making of your video but see a part two is coming and hope we live up to your standards. As a "corporate" store I'd like to add we (Papa John's) are locally owned and operated. Thanks for the video!

You were open and reviewed in Part 2, but in reading your comment I’m already embarrassed because I definitely gave my score a “corporate downgrade.” However, I do mention in that video, and this one too, that I’m conflicted with my own corporate scoring since the stores are operated (and I didn’t realized owned in your case) by local folks. I can’t remember our exact scores, but both of my sons (we have a 3rd reviewer) really liked PJ and I believe at least one scored it pretty high. Tell you what: if you watch our Part 2 (probably out in the next week) and feel I did you dirty, let me know and I’ll find a way to make it up to you.

@@fatherandsonsfishing No I totally understand. I know Domino's for the longest time was locally owned but I'd heard it had changed hands recently so not sure about that. As for Papa John's, we only have three locations. One other Elizabeth City and one in Smithfield, Virginia

@@OakRaderTraderXAre you the owner? I just looked back at our footage and one of my sons gives a “non corporate” score and it’s a good one, too. For what it’s worth, I did comment that the people working in the store were very nice.

Madison’s definitely looked like they loaded on the pepperoni more than any of the others so they deserve the 95 for sure. Add the High level of quality / customer service 💯

Customer service can be just as important as the product you put out. The story about Madison’s is that one guy works there, Bryan. We talked to him for a while when we were there. Super nice guy, hard worker, and he really cares about the pizza. The store is named after his daughter.

It doesn't seem to matter what your video is about, its always interesting. I think my score would vary depending on how hungry I am.

Thank you Rande, and that is an excellent point. I can't help but think that my reviews were higher when I was most hungry. The scientist in me would love to do another "blinded" review and see if my scores would be the same if they could all be judged with the same "hunger scale."

I'd have given Domino's at least as high of a rating as Ryan did. Granted, I've never eaten at any of these other places, but in a pinch, Domino's will always be my go-to. I respect your anti-Big Pizza stance though, Randy.

I enjoy your reviews but you should be fair. If you aren't going to give chains a true score just don't include them! There's a lot of smaller towns where a chain is close to all they have to choose from. Especially figuring in price!

It pained me to bump my Little Caesar’s score down since that was the main pizza I had growing up and it’s really hard to beat considering the price and that it’s at least a decent pizza. The reason I included the chains (we have a Part 2 to this video coming out soon and we did Papa John’s), is that we wanted to try all the pizza places in the Outer Banks. You do make a good point, and I appreciate you watching the video!

If you listen to my comments in the video, I generally agree. But... considering they are pizza places that folks can choose from when getting pizza on the OBX I think you have to include them on the list.
