I think this is the best Metroid remix I've heard on here; there are some greats but this really captures the spirit of Metroid, of stoic nobility plunging into the heart of darkness.

Jesus, man. You are a god. You took a memorable 16-bit melody and made it into a masterpiece. I love how it's both a new piece, but it also fits the source material perfectly.

Another grand remix from BGC and I must say I love the way this song was remixed too! It's soo full of power now with those strings and the background synthy sounds as well as that awesome E. Guitar! Metroid has always got the most remixes but they are the best imo from OCR! =]

I can't say I agree. Feels too agressive; Metroid is about the eerie feeling of being alone on a planet with only your wits to survive.

I have to say that this signifies the Metroid feeling in a rough way. Why rough? Well, you can´t say that electric guitars makes a soft tone can you? Works perfectly fine since the game itself is pretty much the same. Rough and badass that is! =)

Cause metroids can fly. If you're talking about samus, then she doesn't crawl cause she can turn into a ball, which works better.

could someone please explain how super metroid is greater than the prime trilogy? i have never played it,but i only hear good things about it. so could someone describe,in detail, why it is so special.

Glassfleetfanatic Mangaisawesome! Some people were just butthurt about the transition to 3D and first person, while other people are blinded by nostalgia. Only a handful of people just prefer Super Metroid over Metroid Prime without any other biases. Now, as to why Super Metroid is so special, well...I could go on all day. First, the Metroid series was one of the first to have a strong female protagonist; second, people liked the exploration and puzzle solving of Super Metroid in addition to its upgrade system and platforming, something which was very unique at the time; third, the game was VERY atmospheric, and thus very memorable. The sense of isolation the game instilled you with made you feel as if you were actually on an unknown, hostile alien world with danger lurking around every turn-and no one to help you if something went wrong.

Probably not Jennifer Lawrence, I think Gwendoline Christie would be better (She is exactly 6'3'' after all and she's an actress who's kind've established but not super obvious). Also, maybe make it the combined effort of Patty Jenkins (or another good female director), Ripley Scott, and James Cameron.
