ABOUT OCD3
OCD 3 is a web series that brings professional perspectives to the OCD community so sufferers can make healthy decisions and lead better lives.
ABOUT MADE OF MILLIONS
The Made of Millions foundation is a global advocacy nonprofit on a mission to change how the world perceives mental health.
Each year, millions of people around the world are diagnosed with a mental health condition. People of every age, country, gender and ethnicity. Millions more go undiagnosed, and are forced to battle their symptoms without the care and support they deserve.
As sufferers, we know their pain. We know the isolation they experience at the hands of cultural stigma. We know the anger they feel at media outlets who misrepresent their conditions. And we know the frustration they have with healthcare systems that make it impossible to find help. The Made of Millions Foundation wants to heal this pain.
Using the power of art, media and digital technology, we’re on a mission to transform how the world perceives mental health. And in doing so, create a safer and more inclusive future for sufferers everywhere.

As a person who's overcome MUCH of my ocd and basically all of my intrusive thinking, he's right, OCD is what caused the depression. I am SO MUCH happier now that im so much more aware of my compulsions and my thinking, and I have a lot more peace of mind and control/letting go at the same time. What helped me the most was the Buddhists idea of we are simply observers of our bodies. We are seperate from our thoughts, feelings, everything in our bodies comes and goes but YOU, the true you is the observer and u should never attach to ur feelings or thoughts unless they benefit you. Only thing with this is don't become a compulsive observer like I did then you'll really drive urself crazy. Everything in moderation people.

I told my son that depression is the micro management and hyper criticism of our own short comings making it a daily song. I told him the cure to depression is focusing on the weakness in others and finding ways to build others up around you. The cure isn't making yourself strong, it's learning to share your strength with others unselfishly. If you really looked deep into what depression is, it's hyper passive benign narcissism. There is an over focus on self and a muting of others around you. See other people as just as perplexed as you and in through the observation of others queens, you can learn to love and trust people based on the qwerks and oddities you see in yourself in others. By seeing ourselves in others helps grow self love. We can all relate on some level, but can you ask the right questions.

Ive just become aware of HOW MUCH DEPRESSION there is and mostly from ocd -even ocd-disgust->depression and JUST Being Aware of it HELPS SO MUCH. Also there may be some apart from ocd and just being a bit aware of that FREEs me also. THere is more to learn about how it all works but this realization I had 2 days ago and it has helped and this video confirms a lot of what Ive learned . Awesome!

I definitely feel depressed, its like my HOCD and depression feed off of each other, I fend of a intrusive thought but because depression is there, its hard to feel anything from the anxiety being alleviated. it goes something along the lines of "oh, the anxiety is gone, guess I better get ready for the next spike."

We have to be thankful that modern psychiatry allows us to better analyze and understand human thought. There is no doubt that OCD and depression go hand in glove. Prayer and meditation can help to moderate the negative thoughts arising from OCD. Definitely more resources and research should be devoted to psychiatry.

This looks at OCD as the main DX not as the co morbid condition. Which is silly, because in most cases take away the OCD you will still have all the other co morbid conditions due to our delightful heathcare system and the fact that doctors look at ocd or any other neurodivergence in isolation from physical health which often includes a chronic illness or 2.

I’m on disability. I’m 34. I have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Unknown or Unspecified cause of Comorbidity and/or Mortality, and I do live in Hell completely alone. I also have horrible dermatillomania, and I resemble a meth head.

I hate to oversimplify this condition. People OCD tend to undermine and minimize others intelligence and in some ways these people have been exposed to dark truths or experienced physical trauma from others that constructs a dualistic paradigm. A way they used to think and an alternate way to prevent trauma. Being in service to people no strings attached is the cure. these individuals tend to be quiet pro quo, meaning no matter how nice or positive their language is, it's transactional in nature and behavior. OCD also tend to be chronically focused on their independence and abilities of themselves over objects and in worse scenarios, others. Narcissistic roots are potential basis to OCD because people can't take kindness. So, the cure to most things bad is I suggest serving others for nothing in return, not even a thank you or recognition and in fact these people should learn to thank themselves for helping others. This will help them practice self validation and establish balanced mental stability.

Well, you would need to give any proof of what you're saying, because it seems way apart from the truth.
