Ocean Inspired Trinket Tray with a Temporary Tattoo ~ did it work?

You can still add your tattoo! You would put the tattoo on the same way you would on your body…. Tattoo face down on the tray, be sure to remove the clear plastic film, then add a super thin layer of resin to seal it in. You could even do it with UV resin for this last step! If you want to.

Hiya Ang, New subscriber here. The tray came out really nicely. shame about the Shark tattoo not working, but when you said it should get darker in time, that made me wonder if you used a henna type tattoo. These. types of temperary tattoos are designed to work with the chemistry of your skin, I believe. The best type to use are just regular temp tattoos. All the best, Diane, UK xx🤩

Hi, I am glad I came across your channel. 😊 I subscribed today. I really love the resin tray. The colors are gorgeous. The heart is very pretty also. Too bad the tattoo didn't work. But as someone else mentioned, you can still put it on and cover with uv resin or a top coat of the resin you used. Also, if the shell is sticking out, you can put cabinet door stops on the bottom to use as rubber feet. They don't really show through. But I love your creativity. ❤❤❤

Thank you very much 😊! The white is Alumilite white dye to make clouds and then the blue is Caribbean alcohol ink by Marabu for water! I was going for an ocean scenery. Have a wonderful day

The tray came out beautiful regardless of the tattoo not showing . 💙 I'm actually confused by that tattoo entirely it went on backwards ?

The reason you could not see your tattoo was because you need to lay it face down on the mold, saturate it with water and then peel the white backing paper off, fill with resin etc and when you demold the tattoo will be seen.

I was just as confused 😕! I put it sticky side down. Off camera I contemplated what side should go down 🤷‍♀️. The paper they’re on says they get darker in time so I’m not sure why it didn’t work. I’m going to try it again this weekend. Have a great day

With the tattoo back being that translucent yellow was it a glow-in-the-dark tattoo?

No it wasn’t, it was supposed to gradually get darker! I’m not sure what happened here. I’m going to attempt this again soon! Thanks for watching.

I like the idea but you didn't actually apply the tattoo, you applied the part that adheres to the skin instead, the blue whale under the plastic film was what should have been applied. It's still pretty though.

That’s what I thought too but according to the sheet the way I did it was right, it just didn’t turn out right. You can barely see the whale 🐳. It came with two so I’m going to give it another shot! Thanks for watching and your help! Enjoy your day 🤗☺️
