LYRICS:
Incarcerated between these worlds
Reality seems to loose its hold
We hide away and try to fill the space between these thoughts
Detached from everything that lives and breathes
Emotions just words on a screen
So fabricated is the life we lead
So fabricated is the life we lead
Side by side
You’ll watch the whole world pass you by
An affliction, this addiction
Side by Side
Out of sight, you’re out of mind
So obsessed with imitation
Stuck Living in this cycle of vanity
Will self loathing even matter if they're calling your name
Call my name
When happiness is so dependant on shallow words
Spoken from the mouths of introverts
Measuring your own self worth
Feeding your anxieties
They’ll throw you to the wolves
At the slightest hint of weakness
Just don't let it defeat us
Turn a blind eye
Why should you give a fuck
What they say
I'll never give a
Fuck what they say
Your judgements preconceived of me
Don't waste your life living a lie
Worthless lie
Incarcerated between these worlds
Incarcerated between these worlds
These worlds

@@theBOSpaladin101 I like James vocals, but I started to listen OAA from Hansha, then Escapist and these songs from Hikari. And this album is such a masterpiece! I think Lost Isles a masterpiece too, but new song Metamorph had nothing new and original in it, just typical metalcore track. For example Blood Brothers or Escapist is really extremely good and in songs like that you can see their talent. And Jake had better cleans and brought this whole Japanese vibe to the band. I'm glad that it's James who replaced Jake, because he's original vocalist and he's extremely good, but it's still sad because I liked Jake and I started listening to the band with his vocals and was blown away by it, especially cover of Shape of my Heart, and with James there would no cover like this, because he doesn't have such great cleans.

@@user-el5kq1je4s same story here dude.I also got into OAA through Hansha and then the whole Hikari album.Lost Isles had some decent tracks but the majority of them were too technical and less vocal intended(which I loved too). But Hikari had both technicality and good vocals. That is why I connect to Jake's vocals more. But its not like OAA ghosted him(like Asking did to Dennis).Jake wanted to pursue his tattooing career fulltime and thus the band agreed to part ways for the best. But Yeah I am glad James is back as the vocalist. His vocals are equally as awesome as Jake's

This song changed my life. It made me who I am today. The misery, the chaos, the beauty, the discovery, the success of realizing who and what it is that i need to become. The hardest and most deepest emotions that result in the dedication that digs far beyond skin deep. The realest, the most introspective it gets. This song, this album, it has been & probably will forever be an essential tool to the uprising of the memory that starts that fire burning. The fire that burned all of the life around it, nothing could put it out. It burned and burned, until it died. The memory lived on through a single flower that emerged from the ashes. The beauty of the destruction was the entirety of the death and decay. The burning was the essence of the energy that consumes with such a strong beautiful desire. But when the fire burns out. Its so hard to see whats underneath. Thats when you see the flower. Thats when you know!! Thats when we let it bury us.

I honestly can’t possibly think of a better example of an artist who can do that ‘songs you made up in your head but didn’t actually exist when you were 8 years old’ thing than these guys. This band is perfect on every level imaginable

I am a utility worker and a vet waiting in a field to climb up this tall ass tower... I am listening to this song sent to me by a co-worker. Its so fire I took the time to take out my mobile, bring this video up on youtube and write this comment; overwhelmed with appreciation for the contrast in this track. Dejent done so right the vocals padding just so. Emo with a bullet! So fire, awesome song. Repeat activated...

This is beautiful & they say metal music is "garbage " "angry music" "music only for "meat heads" "satan music " man you know what?? Metal music is art. Complex. Therapy. Metal has help me be strong. Has saved my life on many occasions. Thank you metal. You have surpass so many styles & yet more to come in the now,the future,& the next generation. The youth still listens to us. & thank your children for that. Who ever parents a metal musician,my hat goes to you. I will support my future children's dream. What ever may it may be.

@@logancampos2436 well not really, you see its a mixture of extreme metal and hardcore punk. But most metal core sound the same and they all lean on the more hardcore side than metal. Except with a few exceptions like trivium, all in all not trying to hate on it. I just think its more of ROCK than it is METAL.
