This song reminds me of the day that God rescued me from MYSELF. I was a drug addict and I was a very dangerous/unpredictable person. I was always in and out of jail due to drug dealing and abusive behavior. I felt like I didn't have a purpose in life so I tried overdosing on meth, somehow I survived and ever since that happened God showed me a whole new perspective on life and now I'm happily married with 3 beautiful kids. He questioned God about that stormy moment. Whenever I accessed KZfaq, a specific song immediately appeared in the notification feed. I had known Hillsong United's songs since 2006, I didn't want to hear something I had already tried. However, all the sermons he opened to hear, there was that music playing in the background with only the piano. The sound of the piano touched my soul and made me cry, it seemed that that instrumental was played by heavenly angels. At the time of the preaching there was music being played instrumentally in the church. I wanted to know who was the singer of that praise, but nobody knew. For months that heavenly sound echoed in my brain. My despair was so great that I asked everyone who was a Christian. Leaving comments on the videos asking someone to respond to my request, incredibly no one responded. Every day KZfaq sent notification of the same song, but I insisted on not opening it to listen. Months spent in this anguished search. The tribulations also continued. After so much reluctance with that video, I decided to listen to that song with subtitles. Amazing !! When I was halfway through the song, I found it was the song I had been looking for for months desperately! The lyrics of the song say that Jesus calls us to walk on water, even though we know that our feet will fail. And when we're sinking, we cry out for his name. He rescues us from the storm of the ocean and makes us walk on the deep waters. The experience of falling and being rescued again, allows our faith to be exercised and strengthened in Jesus. At that moment, I understood that God was answering the questions that he had asked about the moment of tribulation that he was living. Anyway, my faith has been revived again and comes out strengthened from that ocean of trials. Jesus invites Peter to walk on water, even though he knows he is going to sink. Matthew 14:29. Every day Jesus puts us on experiences so that we can reach maturity in the faith. May we hear the Divine voice in the midst of the tribulations of life.
