Ocearch founder says people have "irrational" fear of sharks

Attacks on both coasts raise new concerns this summer about beach safety, but Ocearch founder and expedition leader Chris Fischer believes people have a "statistically irrational" fear of sharks. Fischer joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss what's behind the worldwide all-time record for attacks, how to keep safe and his latest shark tracking and tagging expeditions.

Last time I heard people were afraid of sharks was when the UK was still a part of EU

People SHOULD have a little bit of fear of large sharks. They are huge predators and should be respected. But irrational phobia isn’t necessary. Sharks are beautiful, I love to watch them and I keep up with Ocearch’s work.

Statistically, are these "scientists" including people driving cars and making toast with surfers and kayakers? Guess what genius, regardless of good math or bad math, when you're in the ocean you're in the food-chain.
