Ай бұрынThe Eurovision broadcasting group forced Israel to change the lyrics their song this year, claiming they were “too controversial”. They chose to silence our pain and censor the truth. The lyrics of 'October Rain' are raw and, in my eyes, perfectly portray our collective trauma following this past gruesome October and every loss since.
Tomorrow night, in the Malmö Arena, as Eden sings to millions of listeners worldwide, we will know the true meaning of the song 'Hurricane'.

I thought that too at first, and I was even very angry, but in the end I think that using more poetry and metaphors adds depth to the song. Sometimes you can reach more people by being less frontal. But it's always complicated to have two versions of the same song, especially this one.

Besides the point Yoops makes about the power of metaphor, the self-righteous Euro thugs were not going to budge, and so if the lyrics were not changed then the song would not have been heard by the world. Eden Golan is very brave besides being ultri-talented.
