I'm not absolutely sure that Oda pulled the inspiration from the "Claíomh Solas" ie the Sword of Light but it is likely.

Oda said he was inspired by researching Viking lore to start one Piece and I wouldn’t be surprised if this story itself were a major catalyst for the start of One Piece.
