The T28 in War Thunder is basically a stripped down version of the T95 Doom Turtle. So, it's lovingly known as the Diet Doom Turtle! :)
The US T28 super heavy tank destroyer is definitely an interesting US Tank! It's a HUGE armoured wall with a whopping 300mm of frontal armour making it pretty much invincible from the front from vehicles at its respective battle rating. Unfortunately, this is War Thunder and it can get uptiered to fight Leopard Tanks and even BMP-1 with ATGM's!
The side armour on the T28 is only 50mm thick making it VERY easy to take out. Not only that, your muzzle break is literally the size of an M22 light tank so most shots that come in will probably knock it out making you virtually useless! :)
The T28 has a 105mm cannon which absolutely SLAPS enemies with 250mm of penetration with one of the largest APHE rounds in the game. Oh, and it's ballistic capped so angles aren't really an issue either. Put it this way... you can knock out a German Panther Tank at a range of 2000m on the upper front plate!
Overall, this tank isn't that great but it sure is a LOT of fun!

This tank has the highest crew survivability in the game. Mostly because by the time you actually get to the fight, it's over.

As an American, I feel I should explain the units BawZ uses in the intro to describe the speed of the T28: 3 Bald Eagles per Big Mac refers to the wingspan of 3 Bald Eagles, assuming a grown male bird, laid out wingtip-to-wingtip, to represent the distance traversed, in the time it takes the average American man to consume one Big Mac, without including requisite fries or beverage.

6:31 - That KV-1 player was a parent of two kids. The little one was released from the baby gate and made it to the stairs so the parent had to run before the kid tumbled a over teakettle down the stairs. Meanwhile the other kid snuck in and started playing daddy's computer game. I know this because of personal experience.

I remember when Me in my Jagdtiger and a T95 were the last 2 players alive we were both at 700 ms away just lobbing shells I'd shoot his barrel so i could approach, he'd machine gun my track until i finally gun a lucky shot uphill on his underbelly.

This was actually my favorite tank at one point I considered it to be the most OP tank in the game because only Italian spaghetti launchers could pen you. Now with all the BR changes it regularly faces HEATFS and can face some APFSDS so its a bit fucked now

Absolutely right, however I must say as a tutel main, in a good game you can easily get 10 ground kills and a couple aerial ones. You can also maintain strategic positions by being a rolling fortress, but once they take away your cannon you are exposed and you better hope that your allies cover you (never happens)

Just use this conversion, 1km is roughly 5/8 mile, or 8/5 km is roughly 1 mile, so 13 x 5/8 = 8mph. It's not exact but will give you ballpark.

@@theoneandonlyartyom it's derpy enough to work it's magic though, particularly in a downtier. The small MG turrets with extra crew in them help too. not just for survivability but also against trucks and biplanes. having three times the amount of machineguns most tanks carry can be nice at times.

I have a love/hate relationship with the T28/T95...I love those tanks because the armor at its rating for the front is rather well..OP to say the least if you get in a match that isn't a full up tier but i hate it because as soon as planes are up you become a fucking bomb magnet.

This brings to mind something to use as a challenge, something I've done in custom battles before. Kill a Doom Turtle, and an Abrams with a Ho Ro. Also, hit a long range snipe shot with one, like the time I hit a guy from spawn on Ash Creek. This was all before over pressure was a thing, so it might even be easier now.

Yes! Dude! Great cinematics, and cutting to the enemy to see how they were penned! Excellent! I know it was suffering but you seemed fairly rewarded when you did well in that big terrible. To think this thing is a GE premium. It is even weirder that this is one of the wargaming copies. Just taking the outer tracks layer does not make it the T28. What is sad is that people look to gaijin like they wouldn't do that kind of nonsense and probably have the wrong idea about it, and it is why the gaming community really infuriates historian like fans. Thanks

Me and my buddy just got the t28 yesterday and holy cow is it so much fun we spend close to 5 hours just having a blast our buddy loves to play the m22 so he just kept going from me to my other buddy's t28 repairing us the whole time he ended up making close to 20k from just repairing us lol was so much fun
