Oddworld: Soulstorm Locations and Story Speculation

This is a video speculating about Oddworld: Soulstorm based on clips we have seen so far. Oddworld: Soulstorm will be released on April 6, and it is the first original platformer made by Oddworld Inhabitants since 1998. I have been playing the games for 15 years and I am excited to play this one!

Today and yesterday Lorne Lanning released gameplay footage that makes some of the information in this video innacurate:
The neon area I speculate is right outside Soulstorm Brewery is actually Phat Station. It is thus likely that Phat Station is not the same at Old Trellis, and that Old Trellis is a stopping point along the tracks after the mudokons steal the train from Phat Station.
Lorne Lanning also confirmed that Necrum Mines come after Old Trellis in the game. He also confirmed that the flintlocks are for releasing pens of mudokons as the mudokons climb up the trellis.

Really good, in-depth analysis! You caught so many details I hadn't noticed before, like the style of the doors and the way the same footage of the Mudokons from the two different trailers had changed, showing the development of the game. This was very good! :)

2:32 The Mudokons burning down the Monsaic Lines could be an accident seeing as Soulstorm Brew is said to be flammable. Also in past trailers Mudokons are seen carelessly waving around Brew bottles near open fires. From a narrative standpoint this could be used to display the negative effects of Soulstorm Brew seeing as it burned down sacred lands.

Great analysis👍 I wonder what’s in store for us regarding the dark themes Mr. Lanning has mentioned. We still have the Tear X-tractors, but indeed no mention of the mudokon bones as an ingredient. What happened to the Vykkers that we saw in the very first teaser years ago? Are they still present and somehow involved in wicked mudokon experiments? Also, looking forward to the new areas: The Gorge, Sorrow Valley and Old Trellis, but most of all: FeeCo Depot, Slig Barracks, Necrum Mines and SoulStorm Brewery 💛 _“our spew is your brew!”_

You're right, I hadn't even considered that they haven't mentioned bones in Soulstorm yet. There's Necrum Mines and the furnaces from Bonewerkz but no direct mentions. They haven't shown any blind mudokons either. I can't wait to find out what direction they took the game!

[Spoiler alert] : the trophy list of soulstorm is online. One trophy is to escape Monsaic Lines without damage. So yes Monsaic Lines if burning in soulstorm. That's what Molluck us mentioning in the trailer

bruh this game is looking good. don't think the story is gonna work out the way you say at the end of the video. it's more of a mockery of the horrors that go into making something as mundane as a brew or a pie
