There were a lot of useful tips in this video. I've been trying to acquire some knowledge so I can do some of my own stuff, most of the videos already have the forms down and omit this part. Watching someone who knows concrete work is fascinating!

Real interesting constructing basic driveway form. The step by step video with tidbits of info really help me in my diy project. Thanks! Hopefully you can upload more basic videos. I’ve been in the concrete business for almost 35 years. Your videos are well done! I have one question, why don’t you use steel form setting pins with predrilled holes instead of wooden stakes. They are easier to drive, especially in rocky ground and also last several years of daily use. Keep up the good work!

I work in concrete setting forms as well but in Las Vegas Nevada and Pahrump. Seeing you drive those stakes so easily makes me jealous lol. We run into a lot of really hard dirt and caliche here. We always use metal stakes and it’s always hard to drive them in. I learned to swing my sledgehammers over head with one hand and the other to hold the steak where it needs to be. It’s cool to see how depending on where you work how some things are different.

Loved that video! It seemed real simple but you had some techniques in there that were really helpful! For instance the tying of the stake... that blew my mind! Lol. I was thinking you were going to put double knots in etc... I guess the old acronym K.I.S.S. Is still hard at work! 👍
