I am so happy I didn't get an Odin 2 or an RP4, this is the best of both worlds. Literally all I have wanted for the years I have been interested in retro handhelds is a pocketable snapdragon handheld and it is finally here and better than I could have ever imagined.

Would it be difficult to migrate saves and a couple emulators from my retroid over to this? The mini is sort of my current dream device. Powerful, great screen and “pocketable”

No it would be easy youde be transfering from android to another andriod so it would be pretty easy. Just locate your save data and back it up to your pc for now and then when you set up your odin 2 mini you just put them in same place you found them on your retroid

The problem I had with the Odin 2 wasn’t so much the bulkiness it was the screen to body ratio. Having used 6.7-7 inch screen on phones for the past few years I really wanted a 7inch screen on a switch lite size device.

I will wait and see how it runs 3ds games. Ordered mm+ as my first entry handheld but I do want a device that can also properly emulate 3ds games. And no I dont want a 3ds because those can't have emulator features

the mini has same size as RG505. its not that small. not really pocketable unless you wear XXL pants. On the 5 inch screen, any modern games that require you to read lots of text, will be too small to play. i chose odin 2 in the end.

Maybe wait for reviews. If you think the Odin 2 is too big maybe get this. But Ide still wait to see if this lives up to the hype

@@JaviPlayRetro Thats a lot of money to play PS2 and gamecube games... I mean its not like there are mega budget android games dropping regularly to justify this kinda pricetag on a handheld so the reason to own it is emulation and I mean you can get an actual Vita for $150 that will do everything up to PS1 so I guess I just dont get it. I still want an Odin 2 But arguably its a much bigger screen for a bit cheaper than the mini... Kinda seems like they are milking that Vita Aesthetic for a price hike.

Give me this, with 120hz minimum, and a high touch sampling rate. Sad to see the display falling behind the rest of the specs, same as the big brother. Mini LED is interesting but doesn't really matter as much to gamers as the rates do. Does it look pretty? ok cool, give me 144hz lol

You do know that these pictures are renders of and not an actual product. And the Odin to failed more because the Odin 1 did everything Odin 2 did (Most people didn't need one) meaning there was nothing to use all the extra power on when it came out. Even know Switch emulation sucks and by the time switch emulation gets better Odin 4 will be out, IMO.
