I am a big fan of this style of video. Being an early pool 3 player, I seem to be facing a lot of the 'meta' combo's and unfortunately can't counter/compete with a lot of them. Seeing a deck where it's viable at all levels and with each tier upgrade is nice. A step further I have seen in a few other videos (not many sadly) is to discuss which are the 'core' cards, which are 'flex' cards and if you don't have one or both any viable options for switching. Love your video's, keep up the great work 🤓

@TeddyNinja thank you for this deck, I played and I also played it in a similar situation with Hobgoblin infiltrating one location at the 10 min mark in the video. was able to play Odin in the same location as Hobgoblin and it sent it back to the opponents side since it triggered its "On Reveal" ability. ...and I got the win. Great Stuff I'll be posting my own videos also.

Probably, we're trying to keep the quality high, but I think the biggest improvement is going to be when we get the widescreen PC build. (on the dev roadmap but still a little ways out)

Matchmaking isn't just based on pool. It's also based on visible rank (number of cubes), invisible rank (hidden value which increases more when you win against stronger opponents and less when you beat weaker opponents), and other considerations (e.g. believed to be more likely to get bots if haven't played in a while, to help give you an easy win to start off)

You could have just odin'd the hobgoblin back onto negative zone for essentially a 16 power swing on that location (prior to negative zone effects).. playing odin on a green goblin / hobgoblin lane t6 when they are unlikely to play anything else there is auto win. And you were already up huge in the middle lane that game.

This is an absolute perfect way to showcase these decks. I've loved seeing the evolution from pool 1 through 3. I'm in pool 2 currently and love to see input on pool 2 inclusions and also have goals set for when I hit pool 3 cards. Excellent. Quick question, why colossus in the pool 3 deck?

Colossus came back because we are running Hazmat in our pool 3 deck. She decreases the power of all cards on the board, but Colossus cannot have his power decreased so he will stand strong while she nerfs everything else on the board :)

I remember running this in the beta, but I perfered other cards that disrupted opponents. -- I like Mantis and Yondu over Ant-man and Iron fist. It lets you disrupt your opponents with possibilities of stealing games if you highroll. Which more often than not is better than just the +3 attack ant-man gives for comitting. -- I removed Nightcrawler for Scarlet witch. Being able to remove a location in pool 1 fights can be very advantageous as you are limited to your on reveal stuff. Can also disrupt oppoents planning ahead. But Nightcrawler is very good to so no need to change if you don't want to. -- Groot is redundant. the only 3 mana cards you need are Ironheart and Wolf, I almost never played any other cards when I had those in hand as they were very good. If you want to keep the curve, Instead of groot I would add Bishop (just a better groot on average imo) or any of the 3 cards I said to remove in my last 2 bullet points. -- I also replaced Gamora for Spider-woman. She can be used almost anywhere and doesn't require making sure the opponent goes where you go. she can also give you more overal stats than Gamora can on average.

The other day when Kamar Taj appeared more often I was lucky enough to have a 7 round with a Kamar Taj and one location that changed randomly to Kamar Taj as well. I wouldn't have made it to 50 from 35 without Odin, Wolfsbane, White Tiger, and Ironheart just absolutely devastating the field.

i actually use colossus instead of medusa to flex on maps that have zones that reduce power or zones that destroy. another combo i run is nightcrawler with hulkbuster suit, cause having a movable 6 power card is tricky, and if you get a zone with cloning vats you can move nightcrawler there before applying hulkbuster suit (which counts as playing the card hulkbuster applys to) and start duping a 1 cost 6 power nightcrawler and moving him away to dupe more cards

You can counter Hobgoblin easily with this deck! Sorry if someone pointed it out but Odin re-triggers Hobgoblin's "on reveal" ability. If you played him in 1st position, it would have been an 8 drop that throws that -8 back over the wall. A 6 cost 16 power play is a big YES

With regards to your question, I'm almost halfway into pool 2, and I do see people playing pool 3 cards, but I don't think they're main decking them. Every time I see one, there's something like an Agent 13 or Dimension X that could have given it to them.

I got iceman and jubilee as my first 2 x pool 2 cards, so looks like the game wants me to play some odin. we have very similar looking pool 2 decks actually (I got the idea to use spider-woman from you though) PS: I'm in the middle of watching shang chi as well, so will be nice to get that card soon (hopefully) way more levelling to get cards in pool 2 though, it's jumped up to 4 levels per reward now.

On collector level 474 I've faced multiple opponents with pool 3 cards and there was no agent 13 or anything else in sight. So yeah, I think there might be some system in play that you face opponents in a range of your collection level. Because it was never more than 1 pool 3 card they played against me.

So I've been trying your deck for a bit, here's my feedback. Dino is running wild right now, Tech Enchantress when you acquire it to counter dino decks imo. I don't see iron fist making much sense here. Isn't he for like, multiple men / buff on move cards? Cut and replaced with enchantress. Medusa is kind of weak. Sometimes you can't play Medusa because the middle lane is full / detrimental effect to play something there. Starlord seems like a better fit. Ironheart is a little slow but I don't see any good alternatives. She relies a ton on synergy. I would cut iron fist and put in squirrel girl, a turn 1 squirrel girl + turn 2 anything+ turn 3 ironheart is disgusting and I was closing out games with buffed squirrels being able to occupy lanes that couldn't otherwise be populated.

Sounds like you've crafted a solid list. I prefer bringing Shang Chi against the Devil Dinos (which are just everywhere right now). The Squirrel Girl is interesting balancing clogging the board with synergizing with Iron Fist and Wolfsbane.

Odin also counters silly cards like Green Goblin. fun to do. 9:18 I believe if you play Odin vs Green Goblin you would have won all three positions? *rewatch you would have won 1 and 2 but the carnage would have won the 3rd spot.

Yeah Star-Lord would fit in well. Spider Woman is a solid switch too, and she's way better than gamora if you're hitting a location where your opponent has/wants to play iron man.

The first two decks are still great as they are. Once you get into pool 3 you can adapt the deck a lot based on what cards you collect first.

The game doesn't tell you the break points, but pool 1 is 0-214, pool 2 is 215 - 474, and pool 3 is 475 +

I know when I have Angel in my deck, I prefer Hulk as Chavez messes with cards like Angel that want to stay in the Deck (which gives them an extra chance to be drawn because Chavez can't be drawn till turn 6) I wonder if Jubilee is similar and you don't want a card hanging back in your deck, as you would more likely pull this than the Odin. Interested to known your thoughts on this one.

I think Jubilee is better with Chavez because by that turn 4 where you play the Jubilee you have good odds of pulling the Chavez. With hulk you have over 50% chance of having him in hand already on turn 4 but really no chance of having made use of him (except right now with project pegasus as the hot location)

Wonder if Wong and Kamar-Taj effects stack. Very likely not because it would be too crazy.

Wong doesn't stack directly with kamar taj but the other three reveal cards that you play there will be affected by both Wong and kamar taj. Essentially having a Wong w 3 reveal cards in kamar taj, and Wong w 3 reveal in onslaught citadel is the same effect. The reveals in both scenarios are doubled twice. This gets much more crazy if you end up going for different combo with a Wong, mystique, onslaught, into iron heart/hazmat. Much more inconsistent, but the effects are crazy.

@Noah Day has it exactly right. Wong himself does not get enhanced by Kamar-Taj, but the on reveal cards played there will get the benefit of both effects. It's important to make the distinction because Onslaught both gets enhanced by Onslaught's Citadel and in turn super charges ongoing cards played to that location to the point that you get a true exponential scaling effect.
