Love my AI One double wide. Switched from Odyssey Stroke Lab no 1. Much more control, much more confident putts, feels amazing off the face

Hi David... Great video! Which insert in general is better for longer putts? I currently have a Ping g5i b60 from years ago ... My lag putting is really good... Trying to figure out which of these would be similar...

How did the titanium face feel?

The titanium insert feels firmer and makes a higher-pitched sound than the White Hot insert. If you play a milled putter, the titanium insert will feel very familiar. - DD

There is a Versa Jailbird version coming in February and word is some extended-length, counterbalance models will follow in early 2024 as well. - DD

AI jailbird the ball reallly jumps off the putter face. When you get used to it just aim it and trust it and you’ll sink it

David looking forward to this review thanks. Just curious, I just bought the new Mizuno STG 5 fairway wood and love it. Are you going to do a review on that? As usual first one here and my question is, what did I win???? LOL, just messing around people you all didn't miss anything.

I want to believe the hype, but if you smash one or leave one short, the AI face isn’t somehow going correct that, regardless of where you hit it on the face. Seems like classic marketing

Sorry but the Rahm stuff sounds like mostly BS. They pay him to use their clubs and the 20% closer nonsense with a guy like him would only really be noticeable in limiting 3 putts. That said, there's no way to know if he would make more long putts with any given club. So what is Odyssey trying to infer? "Look Jon, you see that 25 foot putt you left a foot short there? You would have made that with Ai technology". Please. Jon Freaking Rahm is not improving his putting by 20% with a putter face change. Ridiculous when you think about it.

I see where you are coming from, but here's what Odyssey told me. Last year, Rahm 3-putted 37 times in PGA Tour events. (I checked that on the PGA Tour's website.) Now, someone like Rahm doesn't misread a putt by 5 or 6 feet left or right, but on long putts, he might occasionally leave one 5 or 6 feet short or once in a while he might send a long putt 5 or 6 feet past the whole. Rham ranked 8th on the PGA Tour in Proximity to the Hole last season at 34 feet 9 inches. (I looked that up too.) The 20 percent improvement due to the AI face kicks when Rahm has a long putt (I'd say 40 feet or more) and leaves it inside 4 feet (where he made 91 percent of his putts from 4 feet and closer) instead of 5 feet (82 percent) or 6 feet (58 percent). Jon Rahm and elite golfers want shorter second putts when they miss, and he told me on Wednesday night at Odyssey's event in Frisco, Texas, that he's more confident and has better touch with the AI face. Is he paid to say that, sure. But I think he also believes it. He didn't have to switch right before the Ryder Cup, but he did. Jon Rahm wouldn't have changed putters before the Ryder Cup if he didn't feel the Ai-ONE was better. Thanks for the comment. - DD
