While in my testing the Aorus FV43U is better for PC usage, the Neo G7 43" is better used as a TV/Next Gen Console display. PC is also very nice but the menu system and options say otherwise vs other monitors. See playlist for more Vs videos...

Great walkthrough and thank you. I only really know about the Neo G7 as is what I own. I am very happy with it so far and documented all my configuration work, and incorporates calibration, if you are interested. I hesitate to post the site to avoid any conflict with your preferences.

Wow you must have been planning this video but I asked for this exact video last night! Thank you very much for this video to help in my decision. Now I'm throwing the LG c2 in the mix. What is your opinion between the 3? I know it dosent have display port and that's probly the 1 thing holding me back from the C2. Us there any real noticeable difference between the 120 hz and the 144 hz by DP?

If you have a gpu that can show 120hz then hdmi is good enough. Im sure by sept the C3 42" will be at a great price.. 120 to 144 is tough to see unless your hardcore. But under $1k for 42"/43" monitor i could deal with it..

I hope you can do stress test for blooming and local dimming by using starfield test it will really help for comparison

Judging by the video, they have the same image contrast. But in reality, when you look at them together, does it feel like the NEO G7 image has less contrast due to its matte finish?

VAs have come a long way. I got one of the first 4K HDR1000 43 incher in the market, the Philips Momentum (I got it half-price which was awesome) and despite loving the panel, the VA has definately ghosting. I had the chance to get the Aorus for €600, brand new but, then a 48" C1 OLED pop up at my radar for almost the same €620, and I decided to take the plunge and experience the OLED. I play in the dark, so brightness was a no concern for me. In fact, I never had my Philips at 1000nit because it was too bright🤭

Kinda late to this, but the Aorus looks to me like its sharper and crisper. The Neo G7 looks a bit hazy. Look at the ammo indicator on the gun on both monitors and you'll easily see what I'm talking about.

Hey I'm planing to get a 4K monitor mainly for gaming on PC and for work too and can't decide between the G70B and the NEO G7NC 43" is the ghosting is horrible on this? is game motion plus will work at full terms for both monitors? what do you think of the LG OLED FLEX? thanks!

The OLED flex has many issues with the felx motor going from flat to curve. If you buy it get insurance. The G70B is safer for work but the G70NC is still good. I had no issues editing or browsing. There are some videos online showing a smear or overshoot on the G70NC. At these 799 prices I dont think it would bother much if at all.

I see it have only HDMI and no display port at all there’s difference apart of the faster bandwidth? I seen your review for this monitor and u said it pretty slow panel compared to the G70B so I’m thinking twice before buying it also there’s no g-sync but do I really need It for better experience with Nvidia RTX 40 series gpu? This G7 is only HDR600 but supports mini led local dimming while the FV43U is HDR1000 certified with a contrasty VA panel but bad local dimming . Viktor for HDR which one would you choose? Forget the picture quality and calibration numbers bullshit. Just to your own eyes which one is the more appealing HDR?

Neo G7 43" has better HDR. I cannot use the local dimming on the Aorus as it dims the image alot.

The LG C2 can be had for 850 bucks where I live, the Neo G7 for 799 but might go lower on sale. I think that makes it a considerably harder decision. Say it gets to 700 on sale, 150 is a lot of money but maybe not so much money to upgrade to OLED. Having a very hard time deciding between the 2. I'm not that worried about blooming on smaller elements, but I hope the microled zones lineup with 4:3 or 21:9 letterboxing. The pixel response time is also a definite win for the OLED, if the 4:3 letterboxing requirement didnt give it away already I like retro games and would like to come close to a CRT experience (shame about 120Hz BFI on the C2). I'm guessing the Samsung has a non-standard BGR layout so text clarity is a bit of a toss up (with a slight edge because to the G7 because Mactype can deal with BGR better than RWBG). Definitely leaning towards to OLED, but I've had a horrible burn-in experience with my TV so I'm very aprehensive about using OLED as a monitor since my admittedly very old E6 got so bad from just TV usage. And it was fine for that but a specific deep red UI element of WebOS and the KZfaq logo were the culprits after only 3-4 years of use, now after an even longer time the overall panel is starting to degrade as well. I paid big bucks to get OLED so early and I knew what I was getting in to because it was early tech, but it still stings. That said, the Evo panel is of the deuterium based variety which should be a much better situation that the panel used in the E6. Decisions, decisions. The Aorus is definitely a steal for 650 though.

Currently considering an upgrade from a 34 inch 100 Hz 1440p VA panel to one of these two. Today’s prices are $750 for the Aorus, and $600 for the Samsung. I’m leaning towards the Samsung for the price. It will be used with a PC . Are there better options available, or is this still a good upgrade?

I think its still good. $750 tho is kinda up there in price. The only issue mine has is say on the left and right sides its yellow at an angle. Prob one of the worst angle monitors out there but... its qled so its bright and immersive.. no image retention on mine. Its still my top3 as I play civ 5 on it alot.. asus has a 43" but its sameish. New? Nothing major unless you go oled. I still love mine. If you do get it let me know as I am about to update mine to the newest firmware..

I've heard these two have pretty bad ghosting. Is it that bad in your usage? I'm debating both of these to upgrade for PC.

As someone who has owned both of these, and never been bothered by VA ghosting before - the Samsung G7 43" is really bad. It does have deeper blacks and better HDR overall, but it also had a ton of issues for me. Returned it today and picked up an FV43U. The ghosting is still noticeable in some games on the Aorus, but for me it's not an issue anymore. And it still has pretty good black levels and fantastic colors. But it also has a semi-glossy coating, which I am sure will be a deal breaker for some. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it is a bit annoying. Visible reflections even in a fairly dark room. If I don't get any recurring firmware bugs, I'll probably keep this one - until OLED is properly usable for PC use.

I am used to good VA panels so these are great in terms of quality. These sre not bad VA panels. Viewing angles is another story but you will have no issues on pc or consoles on gaming. Tho if you pan alot or move windows there would be visible smear and if you are not used to a va monitor it may annoy .

Aorus have BGR subpixel array - and that makes it useless in desktop app (blurred text)

Tried both - both returned. G7 had terrible smearing/ghosting that I could not get rid of, BGR pixel layout did not help with productivity tasks as coding and browsing. Aorus looked nice when gaming with 120Hz set as refresh rate, after F07 FW update there was no easily visible ghosting/smearing but the viewing angles, glossy finish and BGR pixel layout made it horrible with productivity tasks

@@ViktorsReality Anything with dark scenes that you have available, which is where I expect to see dark level ghosting. Cyberpunk for example has fast action scenes in dark lighting, Same goes for Doom 2016/Eternal, Call of Duty Modern Warfare and racing games like Forza.

Hey man, ended up buying the aorus and I am a bit confused with it, the monitor cam with f04 firmware and it was decent, I updated it to f07 and disconnected all the cables for 30 minutes. Now its weird....all overdrive settings smear pretty badly except for speed, which does produce as much overshoot as it did before. Can I contact you somehow lol to see if maybe you have an idea?

QN90B 43" is just safer but its a Tv. This 43" Neo G7 is a tv in a monitor body.

Overall the best 4k is the 32GQ950 LG. But for consoles the LG c3 42" if you need a 42"/43". The LG monitor is a very good work/play monitor.

In terms of appearance, the NEO G7 wins unconditionally due to its modern frameless design like all monitors, while the frame design of the FV43U is outdated.

@@ViktorsReality There is no significant difference between C2 and C3. The noticeable difference is the stability of brightness, only this is what I think

I don’t understand this oled lack of brightness issue, we play family games MK8 etc on our Panasonic 55” oled from 2020 and I have the brightness at 20 out of 100 day or night.

Its not that bad. Its just the Aorus is really a monitor while the Neo is a TV. If you want something for your ps5 the Neo is better.

you know we can watch frame by frame right? just as tests show. g7 very slow. most cases BlurFest and horrible ghosting compared to aorus. strange as they are based on same panel. samsung sure dropped the ball here. very sad for me as g7 has better price also dv43u just not available here
