During the Sutta Class lesson od 4th April 2014 at the Buddhist Maha Vihara, one devotee asked about the attainment of Buddhahood. Ven Dr Punnaji Mahathera responded and went on to elaborate on the divergence in Buddhism during the 2nd Council about 100 years after the Buddha's parinibbāna.

Namo Buddhaya, At 0:48 Ven Bhante Punnaji explain that the word Arahant comes from "ara", which means, "rope"; but i was not able to find this word in the pali dictionary; could you please type this word in accordance with the the International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration (I.A.S.T.)? Thanks.

I like Dhammadesna by Ven.Dr punnaji Mahathero,he is very great knowledgable Thero in Buddhism, command on language like English, Pali, because of that he explained very throughly.
