Curleys wife and Crooks are very similar I’ll detail a couple of similarities Both abuse power when given the chance curley’s wife when talking to Crooks and Crooks when talking to Lennie They are the 2 socially weakest characters on the ranch Both have dreams they have um consciously given up on Both are stuck in the complete opposite of their dreams Crooks wants companionship but is stuck on a ranch where he is isolated from any other coloured family symbolising how he is truly alone. Curleys wife wants to be a famous actor but is stuck on a ranch in the middle of Soledad where not even the readers of the book know their name Both enforce the theme of loneliness although they are surrounded by people Both are mistreated due to things they cannot change
