Gonna be honest, the worst off-brand thing I have ever bought was the cheapest 3-pound "tube" of frozen ground beef I could get at Walmart. Not that there was really a brand to it, but it was so bad and greasy that we didn't end up using most of it. It ended up costing me more because we wasted it, and I had to go buy better meat. Learned my lesson after that!

Fun Fact: Some store brand foods are produced in the same factory as brand name foods, they just have different packaging and prices! You can't go wrong with the store brand eggs, milk, butter, and candies (and ESPECIALLY their frosted sugar cookies!). When it comes to clothes and accessories, I don't mind the brand, I just want it to last. Gildan makes some really quality shirts, so I smile when I buy merch online and designs are printed on them.

my whole family is upper middle to upper class. except for my mom who happened to be a junkie. we lived off of food stamps and my rich dads child support, and all of our food was off brand as hell. thank god for my dad though, he made sure I got good clothing. whenever we went to hang out with family for the holidays, we were the ones that brought home all the extra food. never had the newest phone or console (unless as a gift from a relative or sum), hell I barely had wifi. and sometimes we didn't even have electricity or water. but at least I never had to starve.
