Unpacking, setting up and trying out our new bed and couch for our Off Grid Cabin! The Disc-O-Bed XL. It's a 3-1 furniture system. 2 separate comfy cots, stackable for bunk beds and turns into a couch!

well, you got it done... in most tents people won't have 15+ feet of length to set it up quite like that, so putting one bar at a time, then putting the discs on, then putting the ends into the end bars is a tad easier. Also, I noticed that although the canvas does have a little 'give' to it, it was way more comfortable with a thin inflatable camp pad on it. Then it was about as comfy as a real bed at home. I set it up like a bed and it's awesome, a very well-made product. Doesn't actually take up much room when packed up in the car. Also, I recommend bringing a mallet, good for whacking upward to help undo them and get the discs moving.

Wow, all great recommendations! We did just buy large 3 in. thick pads for these cots, and your right they are as comfy as a bed now! Thanks for watching and for your input!

If you're weak, old and out of shape like I am, you may want to invest in a rubber mallet for taking them apart, especially if they are new. They were definitely hard to take apart the first few times. Also, if you're sleeping on them in a tent in the cold, put either a foam mattress down first or a comforter because the underside is gonna freeze you out. I'd also go as far as to tie a rope or bungie cord on the top and bottom to hold the comforter in place so you can move around while on top of it. But, great cot/bunk system. Beware of claws (dogs or cats)!

It looks like it would be great in a cabin, or anywhere you won't need to assemble and disassemble it all the time. Not so much for short camping excursions. It's just too heavy and a bit complicated for that. There are lighter, simpler options for those constantly on the move, though they don't stack. If you've got to have that feature, then this might be the best option. It would be almost perfect for a cargo trailer "bug-out" camper, especially with the couch option. Thanks for the demonstration.

We have used the thermarest backpacking cots before when camping and they are a nice quality, but oh man, the crossbars are literally a pain in the behind. These look comfy and versatile. BTW, love the tank top!

bought one at Costco so this is one of their seasonal items. at least $120 -$150 cheaper than buying this cot system from regular retailers selling this product. haha. OSHA would not recommend using open toed shoes when installing the rubber floor feet on the end bars. Best installation video so far on this product on your channel from what I have seen

You are totally correct, we found that costco was the best price for this item as well and we got it on sale as well, I think I just saw it recently on sale at costco again. Thanks for your comment and for watching our channel!

Thanks for watching and for your comment WRXS. So heres the deal, I have slept on the DiscObed XL for a couple of weeks elk hunting, they are actually comfortable and way better than a normal cot (they have no bar down the middle and they are wide and long enough to not be too small and saggy in the middle). We purchased 1 inch thick sleep pads that go on top of these and with real sheets and comforters so they are actually good for a bed substitute and for space savings as well as they turn into a couch. I hope that clarifies. Pleas like and subscribe if you appreciate our content. Happy Holidays!

Hello! How are these holding up for you? I was reading reviews on Amazon, and there were so many reviews of the top bunk falling & injuring people.

Bill I weigh 225 pounds and I have a buddy that is 6' 4" and 300 pounds and he has slept on these hunting with me without issue. Yes, they move a bit but they are strong and sturdy for cots. Skinny and light people on the top bunk only. I would not trust sleeping in the bottom if someone is more than 125 pounds above me. Nothing will probably happen but you never know.

Setup and tear down time is way too long for this. Not to mention the weight and price tag...
@LifeintheNorth40

Actually got them on sale, so we thought they were very reasonable especially as these are so much larger and sturdier than average cots. Setup is quicker after you do it a few times. Take care. Please subscribe if you enjoy our content.
