Man, that looks like a lot of fun. I need to get my kayak out and do some kayaking before hunting season comes in. Here we are into summer and I haven't even taken it out. Thanks for sharing your trip down river. Awesome battery bank and I like the idea about hooking to the camera and not worrying about the camera battery going dead. Will check them out. Great video. Last time we did that (about 10 yrs ago) the mosquitoes and horse flys had a feast with us. We did the manistique river and will never again. It was bad. I have one of those charging banks best thing I bought especially since I started my channel 3 yrs ago. Thanks for taking us along

Nice float trip, Dave! I had kayaks, then sold them, then bought replacements! We tried out a 17-ft aluminum canoe between kayaks but that did not lead to copious amounts of domestic tranquility since too many people wanted to paddle their own boats! Went back to kayaks shortly after this revelation! Hope your Summer is going well!

Funny you say that. I bought a canoe 6 years ago and haven't had it in the water once! Kayaks just seem to meet our needs better. Hope you are having a great summer my friend.

@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors Right you are about the kayaks! My introduction to being on the water were canoes when I was stationed at K.I. Sawyer back in the 1970's. The only time I would go out in a powerboat would be when we were going scuba diving (certified PADI diver at the time)....otherwise, it was canoe this and canoe that, aluminum Alumacrafts and Grummans. Good times, for sure! I remember a trip to Teal Lake back then. First stop....Red Onion Pasties! Second stop....Teal Lake, a person's just got to have their priorities straight! We are thinking about another UP boat trip later this September as part of our 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Thinking about catching a ferry ride from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island, with maybe a night's stay in the Grand Hotel. The things one does for love!

So I have a question. Wife and I are from northern Wisconsin . What is a leek and where do we find them? I am thinking like a onion

Some call them ramps. Yes, very much like an onion. We find them in hardwoods usually. Spring is the easiest time to find them as the leaves are more noticeable.

Short of dragging a VERY long electrical cord along with you…………wouldn’t all kayaking be off grid? That title is like listing your 57 Chevy for sale and putting the word “used” in front of the listing. 😁 😉🤓 I’m up in the Keewanaw this week doing some “off grid” rock hunting.
