damn, as someone who's gone up Waterfall multiple times in the past year, this video for sure makes that look WAY EASIER than it really is. Not to mention makes it look shallow/small. Trust me when I say that that waterfall is easily an 8-10 foot difference from the base to the top... and the water flowing over it is hiding the overhangs which make it more difficult to climb. man what a difference in a single year has made to that place...

Hello. Part of my job is spent driving on undeveloped roads here in New England and elsewhere. I’m not a 4x4 enthusiast or rock crawler, but I do enjoy banging around in a full sized pick-up truck and doing so in harsh weather is routine. A month ago, I made the “tragic” error of having my wife join me when on a training site assessment in northern New Hampshire. With close supervision, I let her drive. Yup, she now wants to go off-roading! Using KZfaq to research and prepare for her trip, I unintentionally came across your site. I showed Eva a few of your videos and explained what you were doing and why. The “Waterfalls and Water Crossings” video was impressive and led me to remember similar conditions I have experienced. However, what really made the video was the excellent videography and editing. Nicely done. Here in Boston, a compliment is to offer a “Tip of the hat.” I doff mine to you. Yesterday, Eva drove a five mile moderately difficult Class Six road in Northern New Hampshire; she did well and had a blast. She even forded a 20-inch deep river! (Bonus... didn’t wreck the truck!) Yup, she wants to do it again! It is likely my future days off will be spent driving in the woods instead of on my boat. Kind of bumming about that! I’ve been to Ohio (Urban) to teach a few times. For those visits, I flew. Hmm... Vinton County is only a 15-hour drive! Best wishes and watch out for yourself.
