Mahindra should have used longitudinal engine on this car, along with rear differential and 4wd transfer case. Monocoque is okay but rwd is must for a vehicle of this size. To put it simply, fwd can't handle 450 nm of torque. Need rwd with 4wd hardware, not awd.

The button u are referring to as "4wd button" is actually the button for switching differential lock off and on . The car will turn on 4wd always on the command of the ECU only and when that lock is enabled it gives upto 40% power to the rear wheels. Capable car 👌 and great video✌️

6:18 the rear tires are not having power, they are not rotating as compared to the acceleration. Also, never use differentials above 20kmph

Does this mean that even with the button turned on you can't put the vehicle forcibly into AWD. It will turn on AWD only if it detects slipping of the wheels. The only difference is that with the button turned on, it will provide a definite power (40%) to rear wheels whereas if the button isn't turned on, it might channel varying amount to the rear wheels. Is this true? Please tell

go for goodeyear wrangler all terrain tyres in your xuv700 , i have applied to my nissan terrano which is not either 4wd or Awd , and its giving pretty good results , so bro just wanted to suggest this , so as to protect you amd your family in this situation where you are stuck in ditches or some hills👍🏽
