same... met most people from my mom's side of the family, but not really my dad's side of the family. both parents are the oldest child in the family and there are lot of uncles and aunts, that got supported by my parents

13:34 I was 7yo when my great-grandmother (my mom's dad's mom) passed away in China, and I understood what passed away meant. I even saw her in my dreams saying "I won't be back for a long time" the night before she passed away. When I was at her funeral, my mom said I was on my knees for almost an hour. So I knew for sure what was going on at a young age.

My Vietnamese ass dad is the same way, very vague with his life. My dad’s cousin and him are super close and I never understood why he was closer to her than his younger siblings. Turns out, his cousin’s parents died from an American air strike when she was 4 years old so my grandma adopted her and she basically grew up with my dad as his older sister in a sense.

The best explanation I have ever heard for how the soul manifests is from an episode of Babylon 5 (yes, I am a massive nerd) and it goes like this: If you project a beam of light on a wall, you see the light on the wall.
