We brought Tripp home for the summer after the NGSPA Hawkeye Shooting Dog Championship in May for some well deserved down time. Josh Nieman let us know that he needed to get back to his place around the end of June for a tune-up and some conditioning before he and all of his trial and hunting dogs headed for his South Dakota summer camp. The hope for a great crop of Sharptail Grouse was high but he wouldn't know until he got up there.
The first thing we did upon arriving at Josh's kennel in Nebraska was take Tripp out and work him on pigeons to see where he was. Check the video, he looked great!
I'm looking forward to a great summer camp and the fall horseback field trial season.
