Our 2018 Traverse of the San Rafael Swell takes us on county and unmaintained roads from Huntington, Utah down to I70.
Devil's Racetrack is the final trail for our traverse and quite possibly the most technical trail in the region. It is not only a fun and enjoyable trail with a moderate 4/10 rating on the "Moab Scale", but it also offers world class scenery.

Enjoying this series on the San Rafael Swell area, I am planning a trip there next year and the videos have come in handy for planning!

I like the HUD overlay to the video. How are you guys doing that? GPS camera with special overlay?

It was a Gen 1 Garmin Virb. The Garmin video editing software made it really easy to do. I believe you can do it with GoPro, but I haven't tried. Now that I've moved to 4k, I haven't used the overlay anymore. But it was fun to play with!

What is that on the 4Runner? A hitch slider?

Yup. Rocky Road sells them. They actually fit the Range Rover better than the 4Runner, IMO. They are a great option for those that expect to do trails with steep ledges (such as moab) and want to sacrifice a bit of departure angle in order to protect stock bumpers. www.rocky-road.com/tracker-hitch-skid-plate.html
