Moonbin. Only someone with your performance ability can excel in the entire art of performing. First, it was your voice that mesmerized me and drew me towards you. You sing with such lightness and delicacy, but there is so much power behind every note that you sing. Your voice just gingerly glides through each word, but you have so much control and emotion at the same time. Your voice is capable of so much at one time and it is overwhelmingly beautiful to get to hear what you have to offer. You surprise us with each song because no two are the same and your voice just always seems to fit comfortably with the music. No Astro song is complete without the sweetness and airiness of your voice that can touch the hearts of Aroha in mere seconds. Your dancing style is so unique and passionate that I have a hard time believing that I have even discovered. The way that you naturally connect all of your moves together and complete each one with so much energy leaves me in awe and wonder. Somehow, your body speaks the language of dance and you just know how to move your body. Each little movement tells a story and every time that you get on stage, you build on that story with a performance that Aroha have never seen before. You are one of the first great leaders that I’ve gotten the opportunity to spend time with and get to really know. You’ve changed me so much since I discovered you and it’s only been a few years since I decided to support Astro. I believe your musicality is what stood out to me first. You are a natural-born rapper and really understand the art of rap. You have such a raspy, defined voice that is just perfect to exercise the effect that rap can have on people. You have such a diverse flow and way that you use your voice to tell your story. You are also a gifted singer as well. You find a way to be able to blend rap and vocals to create such a fresh sound to Astro’s music. I often think of the group’s songs to be quite elegant, and you bring out the beauty in each song with the power of your voice. You bring a different style to each Astro song and they would not be complete without you. No matter the genre or mood of the song, you capture it effortlessly by letting your voice guide you through the song. This drew me in immediately because of the way your voice is able to accentuate the aura of Astro’s music. You rap with such confidence, an easy flow, and a soothing sound. I love that your rap is so powerful, yet not overwhelmingly aggressive or overexerted. The exact same can be said about your singing voice. To this day, my jaw drops open and I am so instantly moved to tears when I hear the melodic tones and effortless control of your voice. I didn’t immediately know you were capable of harnessing so much emotion in these long power ballads, but hearing the first one completely transformed my comprehension of your vocal capabilities. Similarly to your rapping, you have this softness and delicacy to your singing and add just the right amount of emphasis on all the right moments. You capture so much authenticity and reality whether you are singing or rapping and I am just so speechless on how one can be so immersed into music. Of course, your dancing is the other half of your outstanding musical persona. I did not know I would ever run into you, who has represented its truth and intentions your entire life. Your mind is so clearly connected to your body, and you are so able to transmit what you feel through your movement. I know that there are only emotions and words that you can communicate to Aroha and the rest of the world when you are dancing. You exist together as one to say what can’t be said with words. Not only do you make every choreography a part of you but you give it so much life and personalization in a way that I’ve never seen.
