Circumcisions is also big among Catholics, which the United States has a large population. But the biggest reason was due in the past because US medicine was a big supporter of it as a preventative measure against disease. In modern times, its not important, but the "cultural" aspect of it is still long lasting in the US.

My brother is not circumcised and he and his wife just had my nephew and did not have him circumcised either. They got so annoyed at the hospital, as they were asked at least a dozen! times throughout two days whether or not they were going to have the circumcision.

In the 50’s through the 80’s most boys were circumcised in the US except in the south. Now there is a trend to leave infant boys intact. The rate of circumcision has gone down from about 80% to around 60% over the years.

It's very strange in America not to be circumcised, I didn't realize it's not a thing in the UK. It's not only Jewish people, Muslims also circumcise too. I thought that most Christians did, but I guess that's just in the US

Guys in Britain aren’t circumcised?! I had no idea! Circumcision is the norm here in Canada. It’s rare to encounter a guy who’s NOT circumcised. Women who do encounter one often get freaked out and don’t know what to do with it 😂

I was just thinking the other day that you guys should check out some "Billy on the Street" it's hilarious. It's the guy from this video and he runs around the streets of New York asking people random questions and acting crazy. It's sort of like Conan's remotes but on crack and more gay. Circumcision is very big in the States. Somehow along the way, it just became the norm. Mostly pushed by the medical community under the premise of cleanliness and less potential future problems.

I guess just a cultural thing because most people in the USA have their son's circumcised at Birth. It used tobe seen as for better hygiene. It used to be probably like up to 90% but the rates have gone down in the past years maybe due to immigration.

The Dennis the Menace thing is pretty interesting. There was a guy in the UK who created the Dennis the Menace you blokes are familiar with, but at the same time here in the states there was a dude who created the Dennis the Menace we are familiar with, the one in the picture. There were both created at the same time completely independent and without either creator knowing of the other. I believe it even went to court after each creator tried to sue each other. The courts ended up ruling that it was just a crazy coincidence, neither knew of the other's creation.
