psychos in unforms and psychos in wigs being transfered to women's jails. The level of cruelty to women in all societies is perverse. Mind you, most jailed in this country and worldwide are there for non violent offenses and have been victimized as children or by spouses. They get to jail where they to get more victimized. NO males, uniformed or otherwise should be in female jails.

@@RayRey028 why the fck is your dmbass implying racism when this is a white on white crime. Dummy, it as a white women in prison. Where was her white privilege when she got sentenced to prison for defending herself. You make me sick to my stomach because people like you who cry racism on topics or places where there isn't. it does a massive disservice to actual victims of racism. If you had spent 2 days in court you'd realize the system isn't at all racist because plenty of white people get locked up and screwed. The state settled with the woman for $4.65 million. In actuality the woman got nothing. The lawyer got 1/3, and the rest will go to pay the expense the woman incurs for her care. The money will go to the nursing home. If she had no money Medicaid would pay the nursing home fees. Essentially, the settlement will reward the state because the state won’t spend Medicaid funding to pay for the woman’s care. That’s how f’ed up this is. And the woman “believing” the correction officers aren’t above the law is delusional. Obviously they are and won’t be held responsible. The guys who created this tragedy should be paying the cost for this woman’s care and her funeral costs out of their pockets, for the rest of their lives. And they should not be earning a living via taxpayers money. The US places “crippling economic sanctions” on lots of countries for bad behavior, but when a public servant in the United States literally cripples someone, there’s nothing we can do? How is that possible?

You've stated this perfectly. It's really impossible for her to even get anything close to justice because she has been so terribly wronged. There is no way to compensate her for what has been done to her, but the two men who almost killed her need to be imprisoned for life. The state owes her the best possible life that she can live for the remainder of her life, though in her condition, she doesn't have much of a life. She should never have even been in prison in the first place. She was obviously defending herself when she stabbed her ex-boyfriend. I worked in a jail as a nurse . We had an inmate in the infirmary with obvious mental illness - he was back and forth in the facility all the time. One night he mouthed off at one of the officers who was a over 70 and really needed to retire . He did not hesitate when the inmate simply mouthed off and literally proceeded to empty his entire can of pepper spray on him . I just happened to be making my rounds and i started screaming at him to stop . All you need is a few sprays . It was absolute chaos and i couldnt believe it . We had a protocol for pepper spray exposure but I thought he was going to go into cardiac arrest and die . Just crazy !
