This showcases the latest games at the time, including the UNRELEASED Commander Blood and Nerf Max Force titles, also the Tempest 2K for PC CR-ROM commercial which has Don Thomas from Atari Marketing playing the Tempest 2K addict. We got this tape at VGA magazine along with a giant vinyl Jaguar banner and dozens of bumper stickers. Still have these somewhere in my Westies unit. What could have been with developers like Capcom and Konami. 😢

The music used mostly in this dealer demo promo tape are the tracks "Digital Terror" and "Futrure Tense" from Tempest 2000: The Soundtrack. Seeing this kinda makes me wonder if Future Tense was made specifically for this purpose, as that track doesn't play on any version of Tempest 2000. If you get far enough in Tempest X3 for the PS1 you can hear the track, however that game's soundtrack is the same as the PC version of Tempest 2000 anyway, and the fact that you can get to Future Tense is probably because Tempest X3 just has more levels than Tempest 2000.

I believe all 12 CD tracks were intended for the game. Llamasoft were stuck with 16 megabits of ROM instead of 32 though, or they'd use the whole thing. MOD versions of the other tracks were found somehow decades later as proof...

The hilarious thing is that not a single game shown comes close to appearing 64-bit.

AvP definitely looks like 64-Bit and T2K as well, but yeah, most of these games don't. Crappy buggy dev tools, underpaid developers etc. - it all added up :(

@@TeeroyHammermill "64-bit" was a misnomer at the time anyway. When these games were made, "64-bit" implied full low-poly 3D with at least 128 to 256-squared textures. But in reality even higher-end PC games were technically only 32 bit. Very little in this video even comes close to that.

@@captaincomedian6320 : This benchmark doesn't provide guidance for 2D games or games that use sprites instead of polygons or a mixture of the 2. But using this benchmark I'll suggest Hoverstrike and Missile Command 3D "look 64 bit" and Iron Soldier 2 looks 58 bit. I'm not sure though since I can't tell texture count just by looking at them.

The only game that didn't get finished is Sensible Soccer. All the others did get released, at least for North America and Europe.
