It's April, 2024. I'm still watching KEEPING UP APPEARANCES, enjoying the performances of all... but, this woman, Dame Patricia Routledge, is still one of Great Britain's Greatest National Treasures. She still ranks as one of THE funniest, most talented women I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing her with America!

I served this lovely lady when i worked in Greenwich, she was working across the road at the Greenwich Theatre. I remember her being very unassuming and asked to be sat in the corner and order a bowl of soup with bread and read the newspaper. A lovely lady and much deserved damehood.

92 yrs old and still has so much energy for a woman her age. She and Dame Angela Lansbury are living legends.

As a child I was bullied and going through a bad time, everytime I used to watch her as hyacinth bucket in keeping up appearances she bought so much joy and hysterics and her antics were hilarious. What a marvellous actress and great character in real life as well. I didn’t know she was such a prolific actress as I was only 11 I found that out later. I adore her. She’s 1 of a kind.

Just how talented is she? Noel Cowards provides the unprecedented dialogue, totally unique, but, oh my, the delivery!!! Her style seeps out of her very pores. Could watch her in anything. Thanks for this gift. 😊

I have always marveled at Patricia Routledge. There have been few actors who are more talented or have as much range. Have you heard her "Not On Your Nellie"? Or "Take Care of This House"? I have played them hundreds of times. I could play them right now and be transported all over again. At first glance, Patricia seems a bit unlikely. But when you behold her turns in Talking Heads, or with Victoria Wood, as well as her Hetty, and Hyacinth, and her Ruth and so many dozens and dozens of other roles in every medium - you come away amazed. That is not just a successful career, that is a life lived as few others have done...

Marvellous! I first saw Patricia Rutledge in “If it’s Tuesday, This Must be Belgium” and was so happy years later to rediscover her expert comedic talents on PBS when “Keeping Up Appearances” first started showing in North America. A great talent and entertainer. Marvellous to have been able to see this performance.
