Either way, Ungoliant deserves more attention than she's gotten. After that fight with Melkor, the most noteworthy thing she did was give birth to Shelob and other spider-creatures that overran Nan Dungortheb. She easily could've been the next Dark Power after Melkor and Sauron, if she had been more ambitious.

Jonathan Szuhai but still, Ungoliant did a lot of damage too during the First Age. She destroyed the Two Trees that was lighting up Arda! I'm surprised that the Valar didn't hunt her down and destroy her!

Which is why I feel that she should've been around more than she was. She could've easily been a villain or even an anti-hero of her own story. Instead, she's implied to have devoured herself off-page. I think that Ungoliant should've devoured enough light from the Trees and the jewels she ate to sustain her for a long time. Not forever, but long enough to see the first two or three ages come and go.

7 Balrogs, 1 died in battle long ago and The Bane of Durin was killed by Gandalf. So presumably there are 5 more yet. Entwives are interesting though. I think its just a spirit though.

Metadragon Glorfindel and Turgon both get one of 7. Makes 5. Gandalf kills one later. The other 4 died in the War of Wrath.

Well lets do some sleuthing. Says here Gothmog was slain by Ecthelion, Glorfindel "cast down" another. Gandalf then slew Durin's Bane. This assumes none were killed during the War for the sake of the Elves. Then the "last" of the Balrogs were destroyed during the War of Wrath but its noted some escaped. Theres also no consensus about how many there are supposed to be, Tolkien often wrote in the margins of his writings with new or changing ideas and apparently its unclear. He writes as if there are a many Balrogs but makes notes about how he might change the idea to reduce them to "no more than 3 or 7", like many things we will never know. I'm assuming Shadow of War is gonna take the "many Balrogs" version and run away with it by inserting at least the one.

@@lilcrippy212 Absolutely worth buying! They removed the micro transactions ages ago. Personaly the micro transactions never really bothered me to begin with, since it’s rather easy to complete the game. Just build up your army and get some decent gear by defeating captains.

@@Miper45 his village was destroyed by mercinaries/raiders and he (as a child still ) somehow got to Gondor by boat after that. In the DLC he actually hires the mercinaries that burned down his village and they are now lead by his brother who was raised by them and became their leader.

The graphics are good, but they aren't the most impressive, this is mostly due to the fact that the SoW map is gonna be huge. Also they made the trailer with the in-game graphics and engine, so this is basically what it's gonna look like for the entire playthrough. I don't really care about the graphics anyways, since the gameplay in SoW was great I hope it will be quite similar and that the devs will have improved elements like the nemesis system.
